China King — Restaurant in Manistique

I really like this place, you can get a very good portion for a very reasonable price and it's FRESH, GOOD, QUICK and something other than a burger or sub.

If you like they have many more exotic items on their menu then Sweet & Sour Chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice, but that will cost a bit extra.

Very friendly owners and great sincere service.

If your in the UP then you should STIP by China King for something great to eat.

It doesn't matter if i dine in or carry out, the food is always beyond fantastic, full of flavor, hot, and very quickly ready. I have been to Chinese restaurants in Ann Arbor, Chicago, Lansing, Grand Blanc, Marquette and many more and this place at the end of the shopping area on the main street has the best Chinese food around. I cannot stress enough how crisp and fresh the food is. If you are in the mood for a little snack or a good fulfilling lunch or dinner then this is the place. The prices are reasonable and you certainly get a good portion for your money. If you are just passing by it is worth it, and i do like items at BK on US2, just keep going into town, turn onto onto South Cedar Street and head down a few blocks and you'll see it on the right. We wanted something different after a couple of days of burgers and brats, and we were very happy with what we found at China King. They were super friendly and accommodating, and the food was really good (and fast!). Orange Beef was highly ranked in our group, and the complimentary tea was very nice and light with good flavor. We also enjoyed the House Special Lo Mein. More spice in the spicy dishes would've made it even better (maybe they dulled it down cause we're white?).

Also, they have an updated and nice interior (may have just been renovated?) Would definitely go again if we were back...

Good prices got two dinners for $22. They have seating but it's not really a sit down type resturant. You order at the desk no waitress coming to your table. Pretty standard food nothing bad to mention but it wasn't anything out of this world. Food comes to you in a styrofoam to go box. Makes you feel like you should leave. The drinks dont come from a soda fountain just simple bottled pop and water. Guess that I would classify it as a take out resturant and less of a sit down meal place.
