Columbus Deli & Bagel Factory — Restaurant in Mansfield Township

Went in for lunch today with 2 of my friends. Ordered the Grilled Veggie Panini, Dry. I heard the woman who took my order tell the guys in the back, " She wants this dry, no oil, no sauce, no spray on the grill. It's the same way I order it everytime. Usually it's very good. Grilled (saute veggies in a pressed hoagie roll ) and cooper sharp cheese. However, today it came out as mush. Covered in oil on the inside and out. The bread had gotten so soggy that it couldn't be picked up, at all. I took it back to the counter, told the girl that took my order that I knew it wasn't her fault but that it was inedible. She took it back and what I got next was a joke. They took the veggies and bread from the old sandwich and put it INSIDE the new one. Posted pics are of what the inside of the sandwich looked like and the grease on the outside. Staff behind the counter- were friendly, conducted themselves professionally, attentive to the complaint, but did not check with me to see if I was satisfied with their fix. Cleanliness - it was fine, an older building, but kept up well. Bathroom was older but clean Food- my friends sandwiches were okay. Fries were great. Mine was horrible, both times. It's a shame that this place has gone down hill. We haven't been happy that all of the sandwiches that used to include fries have now become platters- charging $3 for a handful of fries that were included just a year ago (and for a lower overall sandwhich/fries price) is just sad. We were in a pinch so ordered here one more time today. I arrive to find out that only one of the orders was made. No apologies, I was just told that I can wait while it's prepared. That's no way to keep customers. When I worked at delis and a butcher shop, if that happened we would call the customer- if we couldn't get them then their meal upon arrival would be comped. I would have been happy with an apology but nada.. so, in summary- $13 for a wrap with a dozen fries that I used to pay 10 bucks for (and would get both of my orders)? No longer for me. Best of...

Like the staff, very friendly and kind people the last time I was in. I have been buying my lunch meats and deli things there for two years now. For the size of the shop, you can get a real nice platter of foods. You can get breakfast, lunch, or a nice dinner to go meal. The staff always keep the counter and prep area clean, I am a club sandwich eater! I really enjoy their product. It is a very inviting small town deli, they need more products in the cooler, and they have slowly increased since I started going there. You can go wrong if your looking g for a deli sandwich, fries, or a nice cheeseburger with onion or a nice chicken fingers and fries platter...GIVE IT A GO, IT IS A very convenient place for your lunch & lottery tickets as well all in one...
