The Leaning Tower of Pizza is a hole in the wall that is worth the drive to Mansfield. The Basic Sub is anything but Basic. This is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, and the pizza here is on the same level. #leaningtowerofpizza #mansfield #mansfieldoh #ohiofood #ohioeats #ohioroadtrips #pizza #ashland #ashlandohio #eatlocalohio #thisiscle #ohiolove #ohio #wheretogo #whattodo

Leaning tower of pizza is an interesting place. You walk in and you greeted not only by the counter staff, but by some pretty cool old time radio music. It's definitely not a sit in place. Though they have a big, long bench for you to sit and wait in case your pizza isn't ready. And if you like pinball there's a machine there as well. First thing I noticed you could smell the pizza in the parking lot, which, if you can smell the pizza outside nine times out of ten, the pizza place is really good. So we ordered our normal lrg pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni on one side. Which, by the way, i'm almost convinced they sliced their own pepperoni, because it was very thick and was tasty. The mushrooms, though not a deal breaker, I tend to think they came from a can but I could be wrong. The cheese on the pizza was caramelized perfectly with a slight cheese pull, which being from Chicago, was a welcome thing, two experience in Ohio. The sauce it was very tasty. And everything just kind of mixed together. And smelled, just like you expect a pizza to smell.(not all pizzas smell good) the crust he had just enough crunch, didn't taste like flour, but had a really good aftertaste after you finished your piece. I liked it very much. Though, like most of the Pizza out here, the middle pieces were soggy, which usually is a deal breaker for me. But the rest of the pizza made up for it. Of course, I had to do the, how does it taste warmed up, and it passed that test with flying colors. So if you're looking for an old school, take out pizza with a pretty cool atmosphere counter staff, that's very friendly and just a dang good pizza located in Mansfield i would say this is the place. And apparently the locals liked it too because they had a pretty steady flow of people coming in and out. There wasn't much sitting around, so their wait times for the pizza was pretty accurate. I give Leaning Tower of Pizza a 9.0 on my chicago pizza scale. I will definitely be back to see if they're consistent. But i'm pretty sure they will be. And oh, yes, they square cut the pizza, thank you.Thank you thank you.

One of the Coolest pizza and sub shop in our small town. Always Cool, Hip, Fun employees that Seriously Know the History of Leaning Tower Of Pizza, and Know What It's Supposed to Taste Like!!! You simply can't cut corners with food that tastes This Good!! And They Don't!! Worth every penny in price and then some!!! Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, and the rest beware of this place. Very hard to eat responsible when carrying out a 24 inch loaded Sub Sandwich that practically requires a truck or SUV to transport home! These sub sandwiches are so Good I once literally "Bit My Hand requiring medical attention!" And Still couldn't stop eating this sub sandwich!! This has Got to be why GOD gave us Two Hands!!! Wonderful Place! Wonderful Experience! Wonderful People!! Hope this place will be here for Many Generations to Come!! Erick Belmer

OMG!!!! I did not expect this! Traveling from Missouri (raised in Chicago), this fun little pizza place truly delivers! I was Leary... gotta be honest... it's in the basement of an old abandoned brick building. But aren't the best places? I gave it a try because I consider myself a pizza connoisseur. And just like Phil's Pizza back home in Oaklawn, IL, The Leaning Tower of Pizza, in Mansfield, OH, is every bit delicious! The crust is thick while being crispy and fluffy. The sauce is sweet and excessive! And man do they load on the cheese!!! You can barely find the fresh toppings buried within! Anyway, I'm so glad I stopped! The owners could not have been nicer too! Enjoy!

This place was SOOOO good! There is no indoor seating but the inside is plastered with old posters and pizza versions of famous artwork. The place smells amazing the the sub us the best I have ever had. The bun is thin perfectly crispy. The pizza was also amazing. We did a simple pepperoni pizza and it was loaded with cheese and thick cut pepperoni. This place is about an hour and a half drive for me, but I will definitely make the trip again. No complaints at all.
