Tacos and Margaritas — Restaurant in Mansfield

Wish I could give this place 10 stars. Truly some of the best Mexican-style food I’ve ever had and the service was friendly and attentive. The free chips and salsa were great. Chips were warm and crispy, salsa was fresh and delicious. The chicken fajitas were amazing. The chicken was seasoned so well and cooked perfectly and served with an abundance of fresh veggies. We also had several different tacos. My wife was raving about the jicima tacos and would not share. I had pastor tacos, birria (served with a delicious sauce), and asada tacos. All were delicious. Everything tasted fresh. I wish we weren’t driving all day the next day because I would have eaten even more and came back the next day. What a gem to be found in Mansfield, Ohio. I wish this place was closer. I’ve lived in New York City & Washington DC for most of my adult life, this place could stack up with any of the best Mexican restaurants in either of those cities. We loved it and will be back. Service was great. I asked for a couple recommendations and they were given with enthusiasm. I also started to put some Cholula in the salsa because I like a little more heat than my wife. Our waitress was walking by and gave me questioning look and asked if I would like some hotter salsa and brought a salsa Verde and a darker smokey hot salsa. Perfect reaponse! Both were excellent. We also ordered some guacamole that was very good as well. My wife ordered chicken tacos and I ordered the fish tacos. Both were very good. We enjoyed the food, had fun, had a great waitress, had very good margaritas(best part of covid...margaritas to go afterwards) and really enjoyed our night out. Tacos and Margaritas is a mom and pop restaurant featuring well prepared food and outstanding customer service. The restaurant was near capacity at early lunch, always good to see. We were served by the co-owner, who is both a very personable and charming lady. She painstakingly explained the menu. I ordered volcano tacos and my friend ordered flautas. Both dishes showed both skilled preparation and meticulous attention to detail. Both were skillfully presented. The dishes were well prepared. My tacos were grilled chicken and steak. Both were tasty and both were eaten slowly over good conversation with a friend. Overall, the experience was good. The kitchen was a little slow, but that's to be expected due to the crowd.
