Stopped in for lunch a few days ago and ordered the La Casa Burrito. I originally was not going to eat here today, but the other two locations I tried to call and place an order did not answer their phones.

That being said, I'm happy this worked out. First off, the gentleman answering the phone was polite and took my order quickly. Sounds silly, but that can be hard to find nowadays.

The restaurant has recently changed ownership and has had a remodel. It looks nice on the inside. A lot of natural light and colors make it feel like an open and vibrant place to eat.

I prefer to pick up my orders and eat at home. Their packaging was pretty standard for my meal, and that is fine. No issues with leaks or spills on my drive back to my house.

The food itself was solid. I would say this is the better end of value Mexican food here in Ohio. Where I lived in Texas, this probably wouldn't compare to your higher end Mexican restaurants. But for what you pay, you get a fairly hefty and tasty meal.

The burritos were full of protein. The sauce is good, but did kind create a large "melt" of food with the burritos. Is that a bad thing? Maybe not. I enjoyed the flavor, if not entirely the consistency. Soggy is a word that comes to mind, describing this dish. And I only had a five minute drive home. So it isn't that it sat too long.

But I ate it and I still enjoyed it.

The rice was pretty standard, nothing to complain about there. And the chips and salsa are again, status quo for your typical Mexican restaurant.

Nothing stood out, but nothing offended. Will I be back? Yea, probably. Cause they answer their phone when I call, whereas a lot of other local restaurants in Mansfield don't.

A 4/5 experience overall, and there isn't anything wrong with that.

Edit: Ordered lunch a second time the other day. I ordered a burrito la casa. It was another 4/5 experience. Food was solid and everything was cooked well.

Plenty of flavor. Will be back again I'm sure.

Edit: Came back for lunch again. I ordered the grill chimichanga, which came with fried rice, sour cream salad, chips and salsa.

As before, the value here is fantastic. For $17 there is enough food for two people, easily. But I ate it all.

I asked for grilled steak in my chimichangas. They had good flavor and the steak was tender. The chimichangas were soft and gooey on the inside, but had a nice fried crispiness on the outside.

Another 4/5 experience. I'll...

Amazing Dining Experience in Mansfield, Ohio!

While visiting my brother in Mansfield, I stopped by this fantastic local spot and was blown away by the food! The rice and beans were perfectly hot and flavorful, and the pastor tac0os were absolutely delicious. And let me tell you, they have a veggitarian menu.

I’d easily give this place a 9/10 great food, an awesome atmosphere, and a really cool restaurant design. The servers were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. If you’re in the area, you have to...

We have eaten at many authentic Mexican restaurants in AZ and CA over that last 35 years, so we are spoiled and hard to please. That being said, can I just say, this place is one of the BEST! and only 20 minutes from our house!!! We LOVE the birria specials, especially the birria pizza and birria burrito, which we had yesterday :D The atmosphere is colorful and clean and the customer service is top notch! We WILL return and highly recommend, especially to those with...

Stopped in with a friend mid-afternoon and had the whole place to ourselves. Chill vibe, super friendly staff—our server made sure we were never without what we needed. I got the Especial de Casa (steak + chicken burrito drenched in chorizo queso, and it absolutely slapped. Like, I’d come back just for that queso alone. Also had “Alex’s Famous Margarita” and yeah… that thing doesn’t mess around. Strong but tasty. Definitely worth checking out.
