Sal's Pizza is a wonderful little shop serving truly good food. The atmosphere of a little NJ pizza shop is more than present, and the core values of community, family, and good food are hammered home. The food in itself is humbly delicious- it's exceedingly obvious that lots of time and love goes into making the dishes the best they can possibly be. The store is always clean and organized, and the serving staff is always so nice and friendly, and very welcoming. The decor is simply yet homely, very much accentuating the small-town small-business feel that is oh-so-charming. I have fond memories of growing up and getting a slice of pizza with my family, and begging my parents to let me get a little bag of chips that hung from the wire rack. I have nothing but good words for Sal's Pizza, and for all the wonderful memories it's provided for me and my family...
Read moreUpdate: I eat here quite frequently and the pizza is the only thing I’ve found to be hit or miss. Lasagna is my all time favorite. Pasta with meat sauce is also delicious. But Had a pizza the other day and is was soooo good. Ordered the exact same thing today and it was so soggy the bottom was literally wet, all of the toppings fell off and couldn’t be held up. I wish they’d have more consistency with the pizzas and this place would be A1.
Highly overpriced. It cost me $30 for a medium pizza and an order of wings. I live 3 minutes away from this place and the pizza was so soggy it couldn’t even be held without the cheese sliding off. I asked for well done wings that were drenched in a huge amount of sauce so they were soggy anyway. When this place is good it’s great. But it’s just too hit or miss for the prices they...
Read moreUsed to have really good pizza, but they now use cheaper ingredients and their large pizza seems to have shrunk quite a bit. I hate when food businesses start using cheaper ingredients and make items smaller to save money! Make it the with the quality ingredients and charge more. They do have some of the best wings in the area. Their fries are too thin and tasteless. I have to edit my review down to one star. Sal's now charges a 2.9% surcharge to use a debit or credit card. I know the business gets charged a fee from the card companies, but that is the cost of doing business. Incorporate the fee into the price of items. Next time I have a $100 order for a party, I won't be going to Sal's. Oh and the big order that was called in 5 hours early so we could get it on time was 15...
