King House — Restaurant in Maple Shade Township

There was METAL in my fiancés food. I have pictures. Went back to the store. Physically showed the owner the metal that was in our food, they gave us a refund and we went about my way. So I gave this place a break for a bit because clearly that incident could have ended very badly if he were to swallow it. After a few month we go back, ordered a few times and have had no problem food is fine everything is going good. Today the Owner ZEB or ZED apparently BANNED US due to the incident that happened MONTHS AGO at the fault of HIS restaurant and had someone else tell me that “we aren’t allowed to order from there anymore, due to the mistake THEY MADE” mind you. we just ordered from this place 3 days ago and everything was fine. So I ask why can I not place my order. And was told that there have been many complaints from OTHER CUSTOMERS. So now if anyone finds a problem with their food that THE RESTAURANT MAKES they are now BANNING YOU from the restaurant as if YOU did something wrong. I was kind enough to give them another chance and still give them my money because when there isn’t metal in our food, it’s actually pretty decent. But now we’re being treated unfairly too? I sent MANY customers your way. I WILL be telling EVERYONE I KNOW about the UNFAIR TREATMENT OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT AND THE OWNER. Someone reviewed a few weeks ago saying he went to the hospital, but that could happen at literally any restaurant and should not be held against King House. If you don't want to risk getting sick then you should cook your own food at home. I have eaten food from here over 30 times and have always felt fine.

Best Chinese food within several miles of Maple Shade, and my go-to Chinese restaurant for the past 3 years. Food is always great quality. Pick-up orders are ready very fast, never more than 20 minutes (other than rare circumstances). They have a few tables inside the restaurant but most people just order for take-out. They do not deliver. No frills restaurant. You don't go here for an experience, just good casual take-out food for a good price.

My favorite dishes are: Mongolian Beef, Singapore Mei Fun, and Dragon & Phoenix (coated chicken & shrimp in a sweet & spicy sauce with veggies). You can't go wrong with any of the classic Chinese dishes: Lo Mein, Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, Wonton Soup, Chicken Broccoli, Kung Pao, General Tso, etc.

The staff is very friendly, and they always give you a free can of soda or two with a bigger order. I would highly recommend King House to anyone looking for good Chinese food...

King House is a Chinese takeout that also has a number of tables for dine in. The storefront is directly on Main Street. If street parking is a problem however, there is also a parking lot around the back, behind Acme supermarket. Their back door opens up to the back parking lot.

I thought their cooking was rather good. I ordered the chicken pad thai, which in retrospect may not have been the best yardstick by which to judge a Chinese restaurant. However, it wasn't bland and the portion size was generous. We also had the chicken with cashew nuts combo and it was full of ingredients. The fried rice included with the combo was the good kind and not the generic yellow rice. Service was rather thoughtful as well. They figured we were sharing and provided extra plates and fortune cookies without my having to ask. The only problem on this visit was we were denied water refills. That was rather odd because they don't charge for water. That was also a problem because my father needed to take his pills at the end of the meal.
