Maple Shade Montegrillo Cucina Italiana — Restaurant in Maple Shade Township

Awful experience. I order a pizza with 3 toppings to be delivered plus a ginger ale. The driver did not bring my drink but an ice tea. The driver asked me not to call the restaurant but deducted the cost from the bill. He did not leave me with a drink. When he leaves I open the box and my ingredient's were slid off the first few slices . Im not going to pay for an experience of screwed up food and missing items. I called the restaurant the person on the phone says “Well the drink is my fault but the pizza is his”. What does that have to do with correcting my order, who did what? I finally get the owner on the phone explaining the situation. I explained to him i do not want to be charged for this order because now I'm waiting on my food 2hrs. He asks for the pizza back which (I don’t care about that I'm not trying to get additional free pizza ) which was what he was more concerned with. The driver shows back up and did not refund my money as discussed with the owner. The owner gets on the phone telling me since he remade my order he should not have to refund my order. That he's not working for free etc. Now if you wait at a restaurant for two hours a good business would comp your food because they did something wrong. Mind you I order from this place all the time. This owner did not want to take accountability for how his restaurant dropped the ball on the send out or delivery of my meal. The second one was burnt by the way. The driver should have had my pizza in a delivery bag the first time, so it could have been flat and not moving the ingredients around. They should have checked for the right drink or left me with a drink at no charge. Even if people make mistakes, the correct way of fixing it would have been not charging me since I waited 2hrs for them to correct it. And definitely not giving me a response that was nasty and rude . Even the driver received a tip that he didn't deserve so please don’t act like you did something for me. Disgusting...

I ordered take out based on the ratings. I got the cappellini with meat sauce and ordered extra meatballs. The meat sauce was chock full of meat and meatballs were about 3 inches across. I only needed one meatball for my giant plate size-serving which was only about a third of what I had received my order. I also ordered the grilled broccoli which was amazingly delicious and chock full of garlic. Once I got there I noticed there pizzas and so I ordered a couple of slices the chicken, spinach and mushroom puttanesca and the Italian sausage with Real peppers and onions pizza. I'm not a pizza person so I'm waiting for my husband's review but they looked absolutely delicious and we're gigantic pieces. I also ordered a slice of the dark side of the Moon chocolate cake and I ate half of it and it was delicious.

I will definitely go back to try more of the dishes and the service was wonderful though that restaurant seemed a bit empty for an early...

Terrible customer service and I believe it came from the owner. An older gentleman with an accent answered the phone and began yelling at my wife saying we ordered 5 times and was never home to get the food? He must've had us confused with someone else but either way, yelling at a customer is bad for business no matter what the situation may or may not have been. Maybe the confusion came in because we moved yet every time we call they still have our old address listed, why would they not replace the old with the new? Who knows. Once we got passed that, we placed our order at 10:30 am and he tells us the food won't arrive until around 11:30 am? When we asked why so long he says they don't open until 11 o'clock but they answered the phone and google says 10:30? Just seems to be an all around bad operation...
