Server was Lacey L. Date: Jun 15th, 2024. 5:30pm Place was clean, but the condition of their booth seats were lacking. The two of us were seated at a booth that had a giant tear on the other side, forcing my mother and I to sit together- not the end of the world- but rather unprofessional. The food came out hot and fresh, but still very underwhelming. My mother ordered the Philly Cheese steak Omelet w/ hash browns, and the Philly omelet was under seasoned, and her hash browns were burnt and thin. Her wheat toast came out 5 minutes after her main course came out- whatever. My barbecue bacon grilled chicken burger w/ seasoned fries was OK... but the burger bun definitely couldn't handle the entire thing. Originally, I wanted to order the Mac n' Brisket skillet, but they were cleaning their ovens at this time, so I couldn't get the oven-baked Mac n' cheese! This does NOT reflect the review however, since I assume it was a hired cleaning service and not someone in-house. (Seriously, right before dinner rush?) Lacey did not check up on us while eating, no questions about refills, no "how are you doing? Is everything tasting alright?" No acknowledgement whatsoever. We still wanted to order dessert, but Lacey came to our table and immediately dropped off the cheque, said "have a good rest of your day" and scampered off... We felt unwelcomed, and we felt like we were being rushed out. She arrived about 10 minutes after we were almost finished up, offered for the hashbrowns to be remade, but we declined- it was already past the point where it'd be done in a timely manner. When my mother mentioned how bad they looked, Lacey said "yeah, they look pretty bad". A server is the FINAL line of defence between bad food and the customer. If she admitted they looked bad, maybe she should've asked the cook for a remake right away... We were at least offered a 15% discount for our displeasure, but still wasn't asked if there was anything else we could get. Overall, underwhelming, poor service. I've worked food industry, and I understand that tip culture is EXTREMELY necessary for most people, but this just wasn't a good service that I'd tip 15-20% for. Would rather go to Perkins next time we're in Sioux Falls.

Strike a match, walk away, and start over. This was an absolutely awful experience. $43.48 for 2 mediocre meals at best. And $18 for a lumberjack slam that had the shittiest presentation I’ve seen. The outside edge of hashbrowns was brown crispy and inside barely cooked. The hash browns were scattered over plate; same as scrambled eggs that were in small bits everywhere. I received 2 tiny 1/2 looking pieces of extra crispy bacon along with okay sausage links mildly cold and greasy gross ham. There was a huge puddle of grease left on the plate and then seeing the bill I got charged 50 cent for an “egg plate surcharge” so technically I paid $18.49 for a shitty meal. I was told there was a sign at the front explaining eggs - no clue where that was because when waiting to pay I didn’t find it either. The 2 pancakes were probably the highlight which is sad because seriously?!? Probably the cheapest of everything. The chicken sandwich was hot, cooked all the way through although extra greasy as well, but much better than that pathetic lumberjack that cost $2 more. The waitress handed our 2 plates of food to a single guy at another table and when he handed it back confused she turned around and set in front of me…….I wasn’t sending back because I’d already waited more than 20 minutes. The “manager” who stopped to ask about our meal….shirt untucked, very unkempt, when brought up bad experience he never took any responsibility for his store but defensively said not his fault and that they make them charge extra for crappy eggs. With 3 employees asking how the meal was and sharing disappointment, not one single person offered to take a nickel off the bill; not even the “manager” did anything except saying he’d talk to the waitress-he told us to let him know if he could do!?!?!?!? Uhhhh comp a damn disappointing meal??? Lastly I asked about the professional drivers deal and was told they don’t have anymore keychains…….so WHY are you still actively advertising? There were like 6 waitresses for 10 tables which is really pathetic that got awful service on top of that knowledge. I won’t be spending hard earned money at this location again. Gravely Disappointed

Upon arrival only 1 lady working as host and checkout. We waited as she struggled to figure it out. She looked for help twice and finally what appeared as management came to help her. Our waitress wasn't that friendly, but did her job well. My complaint was we asked for creamer with our coffee and usually an experienced waitress would leave room for said creamer and we didn't have much room. My ladies food was "delicious" she had the Steak and eggs. I ordered the Berry Stuff French Toast, it wasn't until it was delivered that they informed me they were out of strawberries, apparently they were out of all fresh fruit. I would have thought it professional to ask if I still wanted the order or if I wanted something else. At the end of our meal we were informed that someone else paid our bill and we were forced to pay theirs. We were told that theirs was less but proff was never provided. This place is a circus and I won't be back. Dennys over all had great food but the staff make or break the experience.

This is the Denny's location that is currently facing a racial discrimination lawsuit for ignoring and discriminating against their black customers .

Two black truck drivers , who simply wanted to eat and were tired of being ignored by a racist Denny's waitress, who was serving white customers that entered the restaurant after they did.

When they calmly and respectfully tried to get her attention so that they could be served, the waitress got angry, refused to serve them, then told them to leave and called the police and lied on them.

I'm a black truck driver and will not be eating at any Denny's again or giving them anymore of my money until they resolve these racial discrimination issues at many of their locations across the country.

(Edit): I don't plan on ever coming back to any Denny's restaurant,

The ubiquitous issues of racism and discrimination will never be resolved by your company, no matter what kind of generic anti racism and discrimination policies your company claims to have on paper or as corporate policy.

This racism problem completely the due to the employees and management that your company and many corporations choose to hire, employ and promote, especially in rural areas that lack racial diversity, where most of the people are taught to hate, dislike and distrust most people of other ethnicities.. especially black Americans.

In these rural and non diverse areas most companies don't really have a choice other than to hire people from the local population and because of this those same employees will be a r direct eflection upon the reputation and image of Denny's.. whether it be extremely positive or negative.

The two black truck driver that filed the lawsuit against your company are telling the truth, I know this because the same has happened to me many times at many locations but only once at a Denny's in Arizona.

I chose not to be confrontational with your employees to not cause a scene or to have my blood pressure raised for the next 8 hours, due to me being a truck driver like them but needing to eat my food and go to sleep during my government required 10 hours break.

The problem is that your company, your management and most other corporations do not take complaints of racial discrimination seriously or believe that they are truthful, justified and valid.

Lower and local management usually provides cover for their racist and discriminatory subordinate employees and they commonly use complete lies, denial of fact and gross exaggerations about the behavior of the customer complaining about discrimination to justify their own unjustified actions and behavior.

The perpetual failure to address these issues angers your African American customer base, causing them to give their money to your competitors whenever possible, your own corporate reputation among a large percentage of your customers base and your annual revenue and your quarterly earnings...
