Pretty rough dinner experience. Walked in and no one there at the counter or anywhere for that matter. Several minutes later a guy comes out and takes our order. Went to get my drink from the self serve station and no ice, so I started to try to fill from Cherry Coke. No syrup just barely brownish water. So I tell the guy. He says he'll fix it. Then a few minutes later he says actually I will fill your ice in the back bc our ice machine is having problems. So I let him go take my cup in the back & when he comes back he informs me that the Cherry Coke is actually out of stock. While we're still waiting for our food we go to get lids, straws, silverware. None of which is anywhere for us. We had to ask for all of it. Our food finally came and the only think edible was the burrito & the $6 quesadilla. My enchiladas were disgusting - like, I've never gagged before eating enchiladas but I could not choke these down. I even tried feeding them to my kids and not a single kid would eat them. The napkin dispenser on our table was out and even when we got napkins from the other tables, they didn't do anything & we had to use like 5 per person to just clean our hands. Hate giving little hole in the walls bad reviews but this was...
Read moreWe arrived to an almost empty Cafe and immediately thought, "Oh oh!". Being new to the area, we didn't know whether we'd stumbled onto a poor place. It didn't take long to find out we'd found a hidden gem! My husband and I ordered the Tostada's, his beef, mine chicken. They were reasonably priced, and we were given containers to help ourselves to items at the mini bar to add to our order, which included a beautifully fresh Pico de Gallo and hot peppers. While we waited for our order, the place started to fill up. Two people ahead of us received their orders during our stay, both huge portions! What appeared to be a taco order was so huge the patron folded it over and ate it much like a New York style pizza! Our entrees were more than ample for a senior lunch, and tasty. I recommend this place for lunch, dinner, or even a snack. The food was made to order, so don't expect a fast food environment. Do enjoy the special attention you'll get from...
Read moreThis is a small restaurant that appears to be run by one person. I noted that not only did she take your order, she also cooked your meal and served it to you at your table. My husband ordered the red chili combo plate. The meat was tender and the chili had a nice little kick to it. I ordered Angela's Super Fries. This consisted of a generous portion of french fries smothered with your choice of meat, avocado, sour cream and cheese. I had the shedded beef. She asked if I wanted the meat to be cooked with tomato and onion, which of course I did. I was not disappointed with this selection. It came out hot and delicious. Just to let you know, this is not a large restaurant and you serve yourself the drinks and salsa. The menu is small but the food is great. She serves Menudo and Posole on the weekends. You must ask for the hot salsa which is not a big deal. I highly recommend Angela's Mexican Food. We will definitely...
