Just be aware that the new Jersey Mike's subs in Gladden farms, Marana AZ do not practice food safety policies by cross contaminating foods by using the same slicer machine for cheese and meats. They said that's the way they do It. Instead of using one slicer for meat and the 2nd slicer for cheese, they think it's funny to use one machine for online orders and the other slicer for walk-ins. Yes, the dept. of health has been informed. They will say they sanitize the slicers. But that's at the end of the day. The Mgr. does not understand the cross-contamination aspect of meats and dairy being sliced on the same machine. And just whiping the machine with a random rag is not going to solve the problem. The issue is cross contamination, raw meat and cheese should never be sliced on the same slicer. Cheese is ready to eat as is, and if it comes into contact with bacteria from meat, or anything that needs cooking, it will be dangerous to consume unless the cheese is heated beyond 165 degrees F. Cured meat, like ham, pastrami, most deli meats for sandwiches, is safer, but can still contain bacteria that can cause cheese to spoil. Deli’s in our area are required to have designated slicers for cheese, and for meats, and it is a violation to slice anything but the designated product on a given slicer. I called and spoke with Nevaeh, and she was able to cancel/refund my order and she helped me with my new order and my promo code. I placed the order when I was in the Fry’s parking lot, so I was really close by. When I got there, they were already making my new sandwich. I was surprised because it usually takes a while at other locations in the area. I was greeted by Nevaeh, Nate and Joao. They provided great service and really turned my day around. I didn’t see an option for a survey on the receipt, but I wanted to let the manager and/or store owner know that I appreciate these employees and their willingness to go above and beyond expectations for their customers. on the day of the grand opening, the general managers, (Jose) baby momma yelled at 3 teenagers, accusing them of smoking in the store when they were just talking.
every time i came in the store i was hopping for a different experience but every time i walk in there it’s the same thing, same people, and the same attitude.
