El Coqui Bakery is a delightful rarity in Margate, offering a unique taste of Puerto Rico in South Florida. The warm and inviting atmosphere, along with the friendly staff, make every visit personal and memorable. The "tripleta" sandwich is a standout, and the Puerto Rican Yaucono coffee latte is exceptionally smooth and rich. Although they don't offer traditional fried delicacies, the fresh pastries more than compensate for it. The bakery's commitment to authentic and delicious Puerto Rican desserts is evident in the quality and freshness of their treats. With limited seating and primarily focused on takeout, it's an ideal spot for an early meal or a mid-day treat. In a region dominated by Cuban flavors, El Coqui Bakery shines brightly as a rare and cherished Puerto Rican gem, offering a unique experience highlighting Puerto Rico’s rich and diverse flavors.

The service and food were good but I also ordered pastries to go with my order. The pastries don’t seem fresh, hard and very cold. I decided to eat half of my quesito and when I got to one of the ends, there was a hair in my pastry. Not on my pastry, baked into my pastry. That turned my experience sour and honestly not sure if I would return because of this. Edit: I’m adding the video of it since they’ve done thousands of pastries and this has never happened. I’ve got no reason to lie 🤷🏽‍♂️

If you want to try a hot pressed flavorish sandwich this is the place. I personally tried the "Tripleta"sandwich and it was sooo delicous. Humble family own giving a excellent service. By the way a fair price for foot long sandwich. On my list for breakfast & lunch options.

Very nice people, great guava pastries but don't order mallorcas hoping to get anything similar to the ones from Puerto Rico. What they sell as mallorcas from Puerto Rico are more like Hawaiian bread sweet rolls with powder sugar on top. Very disappointed!! I hope they stop selling them as mallorcas from Puerto Rico. I can't comment on anything else because that's all I've tried there. Sorry guys, I wish you much success, your service...
