Used to eat at this location all the time back in the day when I lived in the area. Not sure what happened to the service here.. there were only two tables in the entire restaurant during lunch. Took our server almost TEN MINUTES to acknowledge us just to take our drink order. We asked her for some salt for our chips when she took our drink order. She forgot the salt, (it happens) but when we kindly reminded her we would like some salt, that took her another 6 minutes to bring it to our table... we were definitely ready to order at this point since we have had our menus for over 15 minutes before being acknowledged again. We had asked her for some extra napkins, not a single response from her. She turned her back towards my mom and walked away. She did bring us napkins though. She was just rude about it. The server obviously did not want to be there working. My mom ordered the steak fajita taco salad and the server was too big in a rush to take our orders down she repeated my mom's order, and walked away only for her to receive the wrong meal. The entire food order was wrong except for mine. As we are looking for our server, she is nowhere to be found 10 mins into having our food. We finally flagged down the hostess to let her know of we need our server because my mom's food is wrong. My mom ordered something without bell peppers because she cannot eat them.. this was loaded with them.. what she ordered was supposed to have poblanos and avocado slices. This was loaded with bell peppers and guacamole all throughout the salad. We also needed refills on our drinks. Our cups were empty. Finally after another 10 mins waiting for her to acknowledge us after serving the wrong meal, she did not apologize, or ask if my mom wanted something else. I was sharing my meal with my mom because this lady was nowhere to be found on the floor.. She was probably one of the worst servers I've ever encountered. Like I said, it was us, and ONE other table in that entire restaurant. What the heck was she doing that was so important? The wrong meal was comped, but that's besides the point. Service reflect on tips, and she was straight up disrespectful towards us. You are your own business person when you make money off tips. I understand if it was busy in there, but two tables? The girl clearly did not want to be there, and her service showed. This was Monday, 08/16/21 around lunch time. She did ask if we wanted a refill as we were LEAVING because she probably heard me say something about it. This place used to be fantastic. I was visiting from Chicago, and I was so excited to eat here only to...

I visited Laredoās Mexican Bar and Grill (today)with my son, who wanted to treat me to a meal for Valentineās Day . He ordered nachos, and I had the mini street steak tacos. Initially, everything was fine, but towards the end of our meal, I asked for a water and a Dr. Pepper. When the drinks arrived, my son noticed green stuff floating in his water. At first, I thought it might be cilantro, but then we saw white particles floating as well, which made me think the cup might have been used to clean or store silverware.
When I showed the water to our waitress, Jimena G., and asked if she would drink it, she just looked at me without saying anything. When I went to pay, she told the manager in Spanish that I was upset about the water, but no one addressed the issue. I asked if they werenāt going to acknowledge serving a dirty cup of water to my son, and again, she just looked at me and spoke to her coworkers in Spanish. The crazy part is when she was talking in Spanish she was unaware my son new Spanish, I guess because weāre black.
I went back to speak to a manager, but the person I spoke to didnāt seem like a manager at all. He said he didnāt see anything wrong when he went to our table. Like as if I would make up green and white particles flowing in my sonās water. I explained that I wouldnāt lie about something like this, especially when it involves my childās health. He went on to say what do you want me to do? I asked if he would let his kid drink dirty water. The situation was handled very unprofessionally. The cleanliness was concerning, and the staffās lack of accountability made it worse. On busy days, it seems they canāt handle the pressure, but thereās no excuse for serving dirty water to anyone.
This used to be a place I enjoyed, but after this experience, Iāll never go back. If I could give zero stars, I would. I donāt recommend this place at all, especially when itās busy. And if you do go, always check your glasses ā you might find stuff floating in them like we did. Absolutely unacceptable.
Itās the fact that no one apologized, and they blew it off as if I were lying or it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've eaten here dozens of times previously (and left applauding reviews) when the service and food were usually four stars or close to it.
Today at lunch l asked for chicken fajitas. I expected a full portion, with sour cream, lettuce, guacamole, tomatoes, salsa. Always served on two platters, their popular sizzling fajitas in one skillet, with rice, refried beans and the previously mentioned items on another plate. Today l get ONE plate, a REDUCED portion of rice and beans which were irregularly heated at best (microwaved?) and a BARELY WARM, mini-sized portion of chicken, onions and peppers.
REAL fajitas are served sizzling hot! The rushed employee plopped it down and disappeared in a flash. After trying to spot my server I flagged down another server who said l got the "fajita lunch plate" which is FAR INFERIOR (and obviously mass-produced and kept barely warm) Three dollars less for a half-sized INCOMPLETE portion of warmed-up "chicken fajitas".
The original server/plate-slinger eventually showed up to present the bill, but just shrugged her shoulders and walked away when l said how disappointed l was.
No attempt to make a disappointed customer happy was offered. No tomatoes, no guacamole, no lettuce (yes, l asked!) just a "sorry" and a turned-away scurry.
Sad that their careless attitude and substitution of a vastly inferior "lunch plate" of what was supposed to be a popular item has cost them a loyal customer.
It will be a while before my family...
