My experience with Colton’s Steak House & Grill was a simple curbside pickup. I placed an online, curbside pickup order for a ribeye (medium rare) steamed vegetables and a bowl of potato soup. I must say, I had been craving a good ribeye steak, wanting a great spice enhancement and a bowl of potato soup. I had never eaten at Colton’s before so I took the plunge… “come to poppa…”! The soup was fabulous and not “too much” with the toppings. Great flavor and I would definitely eat this soup again! The steamed veggies were good. Not great/the best I’ve ever had and definitely had to use salt and pepper. Still good though and cooked to perfect steamed tenderness. Now, on to the flavor-able star of tonight’s dinner, Ravishing and Rowdy Ribeye cooked to that wonderful medium rare request. Did they get the requested medium-rare correct? You better believe it!!! They nailed it!! Did it have good flavor? Hands down, spectacular!!! Not overly seasoned or weak spices. It was the star of dinner and the flavor was phenomenal!!
…Sorry, I had to take a moment and relive the experience slowly again. My saliva factory is on full effect right now, almost a week away from the dinner consumption… “Mmmmmm, steak” (in my best Homer Simpson voice impersonation)!😉
You might be sitting here asking yourself what does this guy know? Well, I’m 55 years old, with many steaks under my belt, and experiencing steaks cooked from the baseline cheap steak restaurant (think Cookout) all the way up to Mere Bulles/Flemmings/The Palisades restaurant in Seattle at the northern end of the marina/Ruth’s Chris/most Brazilian Steak houses/etc… I would say (in my humble opinion) that I have enjoyed the product Colton’s Steak House & Grill procured at my request. Not any gristle, plenty of fat marbling (which is where the flavor comes from). And… I would do this over and over again without hesitation.
The curbside pickup person was very kind and prompt. She double checked the order to ensure accuracy. She was attentive and I found her attention to detail, car side demeanor was jovial and warm, friendly and not forcing it (as we all know what I’m talking about because we’ve all experienced people who were that way/fake/and inattentive).
Overall, my experience was spectacular and well worth every cent that I paid! Bravo Colton’s!! Keep doing what you did for me a week ago.
P.S.: if someone from staff or corporate read this, thank you for the great product, efficiency and your staff member! I will gladly take a yearlong gift of a steak a...
Read moreThere is a teenage and young adult staff. They are usually not trained very well. The night bartender is very rude. She has no sense of discretion, at least if you are going to talk bad about the patrons don't be loud where they can hear, roll eyes, and act like they owe her. The people that she is being rude to or disrespectful is the ones making it possible for her to have a job. Her attitude is just the opposite. The owner is very nice and interacts with the guest. As far as the servers again are young and not always well trained. They pick up and learn poor behavior from the bartender, who looks to be one of the oldest workers. (Mid 30ish if I had to guess). Good food most of the time and is cooked correct. Have had some issues with a male server possible a bartender as well. Needed to be moved due to ants on the booth and table. Stated to our family( my daughter and niece) that we were just spoiled and it was ridiculous to have to do so. We could just squish them since it wasn't that many. This could be much more than it is, but it has survived quite a few years so for that I give it credit. I think that overall on a scale 1 to 10 I would give it a 7. The potato soup is great and so are the tanglers. It is usually when the owner is not there I have encountered majority of the issues. His assistant manager seems to be a bit too proud of his title. Another plus is call in order's have curb side service. It's sometimes a coin toss on the service but the food is...
Read moreI hope it was just a bad night, but when I came in and gave my name, they said it's a 20 minute wait. No big deal, but we waited for an hour. There were plenty of open tables and we watched the waiting room fill up and empty twice in that hour. I went back up to the counter and she politely asked what my name was like she forgot I'd been waiting. She looked on the list really confused when I told her we already gave it. "It must not have transfered over on the sheet" she said. So we wait more and finally get seated in a corner booth under a TV with our sleeping baby. That doesn't last long and we ask to move to a different table. They wouldn't move us to the large open round table in the middle of the room (it's been empty since I walked in) so we moved ourselves to hear each other talk over the TV. After ordering our drinks which were all incorrect even after the second refill, our waitress comes back to tell us they are out of basically everything we ordered except rolls and serloin steaks. We never got our salads but all the tables around us did. We never got our sides except right before we left I got some fries. Our waitress was trying her best to keep up but had nothing on time or correct brought out to us. After talking to the manager we got $30 off for our meal which consisted of 3 steaks, some rolls with no butter, and a cold Philly cheese steak sandwich. We spent 3 hours waiting on all this! I'll not be coming back here...
