I am from Texas and love Mexican food. I was happy to try Los Frijolitos during my stay in Marksville because the reviews were very good. I ordered The Marksville Platter which had several different items to taste. I was unimpressed with the dishes and it tasted like commissary food to me. The salsa was okay but I didn’t enjoy the chips and the queso was just okay. The furnishings looked authentic to Mexico and the service was good. Though the food was not bad, I won’t be back.

If your wife is tired of cooking and demands you to take her out to eat... I guess this is an option. Marksville is a small town, but that shouldn't be an excuse. Put your back into it. The tacos are a disgrace, your burrito is sad, your salsa had no flavor besides jalapeños. If you can't get things right, take them off the menu. I will say your pork tips were good, the fajitas are below par but will do in a pinch.

Every time I visit my family, the first stop is a Mexican restaurant because I always crave their traditional food, it is so delicious and well prepared, you can tell your plate is hot, the flavors and heat of the spices in their food are authentic.

Although the food was really good and the place was nice and clean the waiter which was a hispanic female was very rude . When we walked in she just grabbed two menus and said nothing and walked to a booth and sat them on the table and walked off . Later she came back by and said what do you want to drink and again never smiled or said hello and walked off . The same thing happened when she took order . There were two other younger hispanic men watching TV and another cleaning tables . All seemed very unfriendly . She later came back to the table and put the check down and never came back so we paid cash . No one even said thank you on the way out . Coming from Texas I have gone to many Mexican restaurants and everywhere they were always friendly and talkative but not at this one . I will go back because it probably is the best Mexican food in Marksville but I may say something to them about their non...

I waited a while to try out this place, around here, restaurants come and go, so I took my bestie there to have margaritas and see what the place was all about, one word, INCREDIBLE, the margaritas, on the rocks, how I have them, are delicious, and they don't skimp on the alcohol, the food that followed was everything I had hoped for and more! You HAVE to order a crazy rice plate, even if it's to go, you WILL NOT regret it. I am a queso lover, and someone who also loves authentic salsa. I order queso, which is queso blanco, and I mix it in with the salsa, to create the best chip an dip experience while enjoying drinks before the main courses arrive. Their prices are awesome, and they have the place set up for the best Mexican food experience in...

We opted to try this place for the first time being that we craved some texmex food. Upon entrance, we stood with our 3 restless and hungry kids and waited several minutes without being noticed. Mind you there was no signs indicating, "please wait to be seated," so we helped ourselves to a table. Still, we waited for another 10 minutes and basically, we had to demand service for drinks. We never knew who was waiting the table. Food was average compared to what we're used to. Service is rather poor. We noted we're the only POC and people came after us were waited first. The staff seems to be non-English speaking. Regardless, please do better to serve all customers equally. I left no tip due to...
