Home Run Pizza — Restaurant in Marksville

My mom & I decided to check this place out tonight. We were very, very impressed with the customer service, the atmosphere & the food!! Their menu has so many different things to choose from, something for everyone!! Just to name a few…Seafood, Bake Potatoes, Wraps, Burgers, Pizza, Poy-boys, Salads, New Cauliflower Crust Pizza-Keto Friendly & Desserts!! The owners introduced themselves to us & were very, very friendly!! Locally owned & operated, made it even more personal & welcoming!! This is the only place in Avoyelles Parish that has fried jalapeños peppers! They were great! Mom & I ended up sharing everything we ordered! I had the chicken wings, which were amazing! My mom ordered a pizza, it was delicious!! Homemade pizza dough, not piled on with to much sauce, had real mozzarella cheese & plenty of it, which was awesome,the crust had a great taste!! I recently moved here from California. So far my dining experiences in Marksville have been unpleasant. So many rude and short tempered people. It was so refreshing to get food from somewhere with a welcoming attitude! There were two young men working when I went in, they very obviously take pride in what they do and they took the time to talk to me for a while. Never made me feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. You could tell the food was made with passion, and thats saying something for how quick it was. The pizza is so good! Being from California I expected the pizza to be bad, but its honestly some of the best I've had ever! One of the two young men working mentioned they make the dough by hand every morning! You won't find that anywhere else around here! And he definitely had the flour on him to prove he had been making dough! 10-20-22(EDITED)Placed an order at 7 pm for Johnny to be picked up. Came to pick it up at 7:30 to be told someone named Haley picked up my order along with hers. My ticket apparently got stapled to her ticket and I asked if they could still make my order because there are very few options for my wife around here. Was told he was in the middle of closing up so he couldn't do anything for me. Very disappointed because this was just us deciding to give you guys another chance since the last time we ordered, A man was very rude to my wife over the phone, rushing her. We have tons of respect for the owners, but this was unacceptable.

EDITED 5/27/23 - Toni was very nice and took care of my order and the food was delicious and I didn't have to show up thinking if my food was gonna get taken by someone else like last time....
