SAFFRON: Indian Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Marlborough

During a recent work trip, I had the pleasure of ordering from Saffron Restaurant via Uber Eats, purely by chance. The food was so amazing that when I returned to the area, I knew I had to experience it in person. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was greeted warmly by Kal, who made me feel right at home and even let me choose where I wanted to sit. The ambiance was inviting, and the staff was friendly, which set the perfect tone for a wonderful meal.

The menu had a lot of enticing options, but I decided to go with the Amritsari Chole, garlic naan, and a refreshing rose lassi. The flavors were absolutely delicious – the Amritsari Chole was rich and flavorful, and the garlic naan was soft and perfectly complemented the dish. The rose lassi was the ideal drink to balance the spices, with just the right amount of sweetness.

The portions were generous, so much so that I had plenty of leftovers to take home. Prior to my visit, I had also ordered the chicken korma, and I was equally impressed by its rich, creamy texture and depth of flavor. We recently had the pleasure of dining at "SAFFRON"and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and friendly smile by the host, who showed us to our table. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel like royalty. Our server, in particular, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, taking the time to explain each dish and make recommendations. The food was absolutely authentic we ordered the masala papaad, paneer kadai, and dal tadka and each dish was expertly prepared and presented. The flavors were rich, authentic, and bursting with freshness. The portion sizes were generous, and we left feeling satisfied but not stuffed. The prices were extremely reasonable, especially considering the high quality and quantity of food. We were impressed by the value for money and would happily pay more for such an exceptional dining experience.it is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. Two parts here, ended up meeting my brother for lunch and this spot stood out.

Part 1 - For lunch we ordered the Butter Chicken Marsala(med spice), Lamb Vindaloo(spicy), and the naan basket. All of which were amazing. The butter chicken was bursting with flavor and medium spice just added to it. The lamb was tender and even though the vindaloo was spicy, by far one of the best I’ve had. The naan was fresh, flavorful, and fluffy.

We left one of the cars and went into town, stopped at a few places then made our way back.

Part 2 - For dinner we ordered the Butter Chicken Marsala (med again) and the Lamb Kadai (med), as well as some naan. Once again, absolutely phenomenal. The Butter Chicken was just as good, if not even better the second time. The Kadai was bursting with flavor, the aromas coming off of it had me questioning whether or not I should order some to go. The naan was warm, flavorful, and delicious.

Yes, we went twice. I’m sure if breakfast was an option then we would have spent the day.
