Yesterday my wife ordered her regular bowl and came with the wrong protein type, shrimp besides fish. She gently called to ask if they could fix it and staff apologized saying they were closing in 10min and would prefer to make a refund to her. She agreed. Today she called to know if the refund was made because she was about to order again her lunch, it’s her favorite lunch place close to her work and she orders almost every day, she is a LOYAL CUSTOMER. Staff seemed to not remember or pretend they didn’t remember what they spoke with her yesterday and gave the phone call to the manager, who argued with her making her feel STUPID or DUMB almost like she was lying to try to get something for free, saying “she did other shrimp”, that “the order is correct and refund won’t be made”. Painful to hear. She was sad and confused because she always ordered the exact same thing. She believes the system or staff made a mistake yesterday because she remembered ordering salmon, not shrimp.
Look at the pics to see how many orders she did recently, she orders almost every day!
The point here to be made is that It doesn’t matter who committed the mistake here, they chose to not fix it when she brought it up and offered her to refund instead, to later refuse to refund her? What a joke! What matters is the way they treat their loyal customers. Not joking, she probably spends $100 a week in this place or more. She didn’t deserve to be treated like that. I won’t let her order here again. The portions are too small for the price, she usually spends between $22-32 dollars for a small, nothing special for the OVERPRICED bowls. The place needs a good manager. The one they have...
Read moreCame here to grab a bite for lunch and ended up waiting more than 30 minutes to order, pick up our food, and leave. There was a single person working there who was clearly was in no rush to make bowls for the long line of people. Totally understand if they’re busy and trying their best, but the woman working was unapologetic that we had stood there for 30 minutes to order.
What I found strange was that she would take people’s orders in stages. Put rice/toppings in bowls for 4 people, then make them wait for the protein while she went back to the start of the line. After waiting so long to order, it was especially painful to watch our food sitting there ready to be taken but she wouldn’t ring us up until starting with new customers.
You’d think there would be the standard toppings for a poke place like crispy garlic/onions or wonton strips, but no, only raw panko crumbs they sprinkle on for looks. The food was under seasoned and frankly tasteless but when I went to ask for more sauce, she said I’d have to pay extra. She could have just as easily squeezed some on.
I don’t really understand the stellar ratings for this place. Maybe it has a monopoly on poke in a 30-mile radius. Next time I’ll just buy some grocery store sushi - at least I’ll get to eat it within a reasonable time and without the frustration of watching the dreadful inefficiency...
Read moreHORRIBLE. This restaurant had the absolute worst service I have ever seen. Walked in at 2:13pm and thought it would be a quick wait, with only about 8 people in line. BOY WAS I MISTAKEN. My dad and I ended up waiting in line for over half an hour, all due to the laziness and inefficiency of the SINGLE employee who did not care at all about doing a good job.
When we finally got to the front she scooped our ingredients with a sloth-like mobility. And once she finished our order and we were at the register, she left our food there to go take the NEXT order instead of just checking us out. So we waited ANOTHER 5 minutes for her to go back and take half of the other order THEN came back and rang us up.
The whole time she barely looked up at us or said anything. Really not a great experience.
ADDITIONALLY, the toppings were MEAGER to say the least -- no crispy onions, or authentic Asian toppings. Very basic and plain, been to MUCH better poke places where they also give you bigger portions.
LASTLY, we asked for extra sauce which should be a given at any poke place, and she said it would be A DOLLAR for each additional squirt of sauce. Are you kidding?? Also, no free water, you must pay for a water bottle.
Do not recommend, find somewhere else to eat if you want to avoid frustration and...
