Hot Table — Restaurant in Marlborough

I really wasn’t sure how I was going to like this place. Turns out, it was really good and makes for a great treat lunch!

This place is interesting. It’s not your standard, meat and cheese and bread, sub shop like subway. It’s a panini place, and they serve up some pretty unique combinations. Favorites of mine include the Cubano, chicken pesto, and southwest chicken. While the pricing seems relatively simple for the sizes, be aware that the small is pretty small, the medium is pretty big, and the large is a mammoth. Go for a medium if your hungry, and a large if you’re starving or want half for later.

The sandwiches are stuffed, hot, cheesy, and just all around good. Like I mentioned, there are a lot of weird combos available here, so take your time reading the menu before you commit to getting it as is. The southwest chicken, with chipotle mayo, cheese, tomato and pickles surprisingly features salami. I was unsure at first, but surprisingly it all comes together pretty well!

Give this place a try if you get the chance. The portions are good, the prices are reasonable, and the quality beats anything you’d grab from Subway...

Popped into this place with work colleagues for lunch, having heard the food was good and it did not disappoint.

If you have never visited before like I hadn’t this place is what I would describe as a posh subway style sandwich shop, where you get to pick your choice of filling and watch the staff make up your order. However this is way better.

The bread is fresh and you can choose from small, medium or large sizes. I opted for the small and it was more than enough for a lunch time snack. There are a huge selection of fillings ranging from steak, chicken but I went for the classic tuna. These are filled up and then toasted. You can order soup and drinks as sides and either order to go or sit in.

The seating area is nice and spacious and the atmosphere is really nice and relaxing, there is plenty of parking right outside, albeit expect this retail park at peak times could get busy. Staff were really friendly and grateful for your custom.

So would highly recommend checking this place out or other locations within this chain. Hoping they make it to the UK...

I have always enjoyed the food from Hot Table but the service at this location has to be by far the worst when it comes to pick up orders! It is never on time as to when it says to be there for pick up. When I do arrive I am usually waiting another 20-30 minutes while they prepare orders for walk in customers and clear out that line. Only then did they come over to those of us that had been standing by the empty pick up shelf for some time with out being addressed and ask us our names and start to prepare our orders. Not sure what the point of ordering online is? When they finally got to me I asked for a refund explaining I did not have any more time to wait for my meal and needed to return to work. The one young lady working the register said she would need to get the manager to submit the refund. When the manager arrived she proceeded to give me a gift card. I explained that this was the 3rd time trying to place an online order only to be met with horrible service, I requested the refund back to my credit card and said I will not...
