Just south of downtown Marquette, Drifa Brewing offers a laid-back, welcoming vibe that’s perfect for unwinding. The outdoor seating area has plenty of space to relax, and the fire pit adds a cozy touch, especially on cooler evenings. When I visited, there was live music playing, which was an unexpected and much-appreciated bonus. A food truck was parked out front, serving up tasty bites with impressively quick service. It rounded out the experience nicely. As for the beer, I tried the Ghost Roast (a white stout) and the Shorescape Haze (a New England IPA). Both were solid pours - flavorful, well-balanced, and true to style. You can tell the team here takes pride in their craft. If I’m ever back in the area, Drifa will definitely be on my list again. Great beer, chill atmosphere, and a little something extra that makes it memorable.

Proud co-op owner

Delightful variety of home-brewed beers, along with (outside) wine and cider. We are planning on hosting guest brewers, as well.

This is a fledgling experiment. We are the first cooperative brewery in Michigan. Just as we were launching, COVID-19 hit. That we are still open is a testament to the dedication of the board and enthusiasm...
