Having read great reviews, I was excited to try their food. The first time I visited, they were out of the carne asada tacos the reviews raved about, so I got a different meat taco based on the (owner’s?) suggestion. There was hardly any meat and they were bland. Thinking it may have been a single miss, I went again. No answer at the drive through, drove to the window and still no help, went inside, waited, and eventually hollered to the man in the kitchen (wondering if they may have closed 3 hours early?) The cook knocked on the bathroom door and apologized multiple times. Okay, somewhat understandable since there was no one else aside from the woman in the bathroom to take care of the front. Sadly, the tacos didn’t live up to the hype. I ordered 5 (asada, al pastor, and lengua), and the meat was pale, bland, and had a weird shredded texture—like it was boiled or prepackaged, not grilled fresh. My wife had a carne asada taco and a quesadilla, and hers was just okay too. We had to load on salsa, salt, and lime to give it any real flavor.
On the bright side, the salsas were good, the flavored water was refreshing, and the place was clean with great music and friendly service. That’s why I’m giving it 2 stars—not for the food, but for everything else.
If you're after authentic, flavorful tacos—this probably...

Met the owner and she is serious about quality ingredients and cooks. The mild salsa is the best in town.
I want to gate keep this one as the other day the line was out the door. Secret is getting out and that is good so they have a successful new business.
Truly supporting a real local business as the family has been in Ogden for decades.
