Read moreOk, where do I start? Our first ( and last) visit here. I am not going to bash, but I will try to give some constructive criticism and hope they take some advice. We got here on a Friday night. And yes, we expected a crowd. BUT what we did not expect was a large crowd ( obviously a work Christmas party) right beside us. And I mean RIGHT BESIDE US. Standing right beside us. In the middle of the place. The servers could barely squeeze through. it was so loud, I ended up with a headache. Service was ok. Servers seemed confused. Food was just ok. Had the stew. It had decent meat in it. But no flavor really. Needed seasoning badly. Beer was decent. One of us liked it, the other didn’t. Took a long time to get our beers too. Band was supposed to start at 7. We left at 7, and the band wasn’t even there yet. No idea if they ever showed up. The place has so much potential. Super disappointing. Maybe it was just...
Read more2nd visit in 3 weeks. Beer good. Had charcuterie first time and it was great and bought growler to take home. Yesterday we invited friends and my daughter and grandkid and we all were disappointed. Had to order marginal bruschetta because charcuterie—main reason we stopped here—was out, but we were told all else was on menu. Until my grand ordered mac and cheese. Then told none. Bit of a meltdown but she got pirogies. Daughter ordered boar sausage. Server came back—no boar sausage. So three requests, three shutdowns. Other couple gave up early on and just ate bruschetta. I was less than impressed with the Cuban. Too much dry think pork. Not enough cheese, pickle spear on side not in sandwich and mustard was only ok (and not enough of it).
Next time we’ll call first and not make the trip or have others drive up from Pgh until we know what...
