Libby McNeill's is a great place for a night out with friends. They usually have a couple of good beers on tap and the food is never disappointing. The cheese curds and avocado fries are very good appetizers. The burgers and pizza are great options for the main entree and they usually have a couple of interesting items on the menu. We don't get dessert often, but when we do it has been outstanding. One night in particular, all of the options sounded so good, we had to get one of each (we wound up boxing one of them up for the babysitter). Very comfy atmosphere with both open seating by a fireplace and some private cozy seating as well.

It was pretty quiet when we arrived, which was around 2:30ish. There was no hostess. We had to walk around to the bar to find someone. The one lady who took our order and sat us was very nice. I would definitely recommend this place.

A great place to eat. We like the booths in the hall as you enter the restaurant. They are very quiet and great for conversation as you eat. Not a huge menu but the food is good. Wish they had sweet potato fries.

My latest visit was less than stellar. I went there with my wife, her mother, sister and niece. When we got our table, the waiter was, admittedly, distracted by the niece's tablet. We got our drink menu's, me and the sister ordered our drinks. About 5 minutes after we ordered our drinks, our waiter came back saying they had neither the beer I ordered nor the drink my sister-in-law ordered. Ok, fine, order something different. After a second failed drink order, it was discovered that the drink menu was old. How does a server not know what they have on tap in the bar? When I received my food, I ordered the whiskey glazed ribeye, I was incredibly unimpressed. First of all, I never got my soup. I ordered my steak medium rare. What I got was closer to medium well and there was no flavor to the steak. The best part was the fact that it was grilled in stereo. On the top, seared well, had the diamond pattern, but a little over done. On the bottom side, it was very clear that the person in charge forgot about my steak, because it was underdone, and barely had grill marks. That means they left it on one side too long, then scrambled to grill it quick on the other side, maybe 30 seconds, then served it undercooked side down. Our server, while very nice, was incredibly slow, and only checked on us a couple times. For the most part I enjoy the food there, this time was miserable, but they continually make it harder and harder to justify going back with the inconsistencies in food preparation, and I swear the service gets worse each time I go there. The only saving...

We chose Libby McNeill's to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. I called approx 2 weeks ahead of time to make reservations for 19 people. Everything was set up and ready to go in a private room when we arrived. The waitress did an excellent job and was constantly on the go with that many people. There were many separate tickets, as couples all paid for themselves. The waitress had no problem getting everything correct on each bill. All of the food came out hot and fresh. Drink refills kept coming. The service was excellent. A few staff members helped our waitress bring out food, since there were so many things. As we're eating, different people are complaining that their steak is overdone or too raw, etc. It was figured out that the steaks were just handed out willy nilly, without asking who had the rare queen cut, who had the well done queen cut, etc. My mom, the birthday girl, hated her steak, said it was the toughest piece of leather she had ever chewed on in all of her 80 years! Haha! So other than the steak issue, it was a good experience. Most of us had never been...

I was very disappointed with the dining experience here. They have a nice looking dining room, very comfortable even fancy/plush chairs, and seating by the pool. The menu also sounds good. Surface stuff all good and I'm impressed. But... The service was incredibly lacking and the food didn't measure up. I didn't get water, or even see a server (all young maybe high school girls) for almost 10 minutes and they were not busy. I ordered a burger medium rare and special appetizer Mac and cheese. Burger came out very well done. Mac and cheese warm but not hot enough. 2 days later I tried them again with similar results. Same young, inexperienced servers. Same overdone burger. I did speak with the executive chef the 2nd time and his responses were outstanding. I appreciated that. Would I go again? No. I would try other, local restaurants in town. They have a captive hotel clientele but you...
