This zoo is one of the best we've ever been too. It's small and charming yet spacious with plenty of room for each animal which makes us feel less guilty of keeping wild creatures cage. The animals you will see can be quite large, like bison, and two Kodiak bears. But they also have smaller animals like foxes and birds of prey. This zoo has a driving section. Take your time and look close. You might even see the albino deer. It takes about 15 minutes to drive it and that's with slow downs to look at the animals. If you really take your time plan for 20. The walking part of the zoo is small, but the animals have amazing and very naturalistic habitats! They seem happy and have room to run. The bears are a huge hit and have an incredible back story. The zoo keepers are very knowledgeable, and are very friendly and you can tell take delight in the animals. They do amazing work. This is a free zoo with a suggested donation of $2....

The prairie dogs are just hilarious to watch! Some are zipping about or eating, some stand watch and "bark" when they suspect danger, while some just laze around. I always leave their enclosure...

Not too many animals but thats ok for us....I love the story about the bears. At the end we take the drive to see the large animals and the kids are usually sleeping by the...
