Had another great lunch at the Marshfield Wendy's at Exit 12 off Route 3 in Massachusetts with my best bud for life while driving north to Boston from Cape Cod. It's not halfway, but traffic starts to get challenging for me beyond this point. Not sure about getting off the highway any further along should I need to stop. . Host Terri immediately made us feel welcome in her restaurant. We got to talk to her for a few moments while we waited for our lunch to be prepared as there were no other customers waiting to be served by her. We also spoke to her when she came out into the restaurant to tidy up a bit. She's a very nice lady and helped make our visit a very enjoyable experience, not just a GREAT meal. You will be lucky if she's on duty when you visit. Tell her you read about her and her Wendy's on TripAdvisor. . The food was great, as it always is at Wendy's, everywhere, all the time. We had our regular salads again this time. Still yummy in the tummy, nutrish, too. I never tire of them. Thank you, Team Wendy's, for your good work at providing good food and thank you, Owner, for opening this restaurant where you are so that you can be here when we need our Wendy's fix. . Wendy's is not all that near to Route 3. Once you are off the highway at Exit 12 and are headed east on Route 139 for quite a ways, a mile I think, you need to be ready to turn left at the light just before you come upon Wendy's--for safety's sake; it's just after the 7-11 convenience store, also on the left. Coming back out with the same light is easy and safe, I found. Your results may vary, turning in or coming out. Over to you. . As I was early for my arrival time in Boston, even after lunch, I stopped at the Christmas Tree Shop on the left side of Route 139 when headed back to the highway, Route 3. The driveway leading to the Christmas Tree Shop is on the left, just after the Shell gas station, almost at the entrance ramp back onto the highway headed north, which is on the right. Fortuitously, there's a traffic light there, too, to help you make the left into the Christmas Tree Shop longish driveway and, when you are done, to make the left back onto the main road, Route 139. Please be as careful as I was, if not more so. . Good eating if you decide to stop in. Tell Wendy you read about her on this...
Read moreWent in on Monday night 8/14 at 7:45 pm. The restaurant had dirty tables and cleaning spray bottle on the table just sitting there. Thinking it was busy prior to myself coming in. When I walked up to the register I noticed several things I have NEVER come across in any restaurant I worked or went to eat in. The back door was clearly wide open from where I stood at the register. The manager I think had his shirt unbuttoned. Cooks I believe had cell phones in there ears listening to music. The person on register was a young kid that was very soft spoken and obviously nervous to speak to while placing my order. After I ordered my food I stood back and witnessed the manager holding a conversation with other coworkers on how when he gets his vacation time he is going to collect and leave place of employment. All waiting 20 minutes for my order and watching other customers shake there heads in discuss. Leadership is lacking and direction is clearly not given. I was bothered because I do like Wendy's food and something should be addressed to fix this...
Read moreWhen was the last time the fryolator oil was changed? No really, I'm curious. I like cold. Like, my thermostat is low in our house (low 60s)....but is the thermostat set to 50? Freezing in here. Lastly, no fold down changing table in the women's bathroom?!?! Why would anyone take their toddlers here for a kid's meal? One visit is enough. Sorry, to be so critical but this is a chain restaurant. Where are the standards? We got here at noon, stayed 30 mins and there were 3 other tables filled that whole time... Plus side, the 1 star, would be the woman bagging everything got everything 100% right. We all make mistakes but to remember the 1 chocolate chip cookie with 4 meals was impressive, every other...
