Cori’s Twin Gables — Restaurant in Marthasville

I've been coming to this business occasionally for about 12 years, including long before the current ownership. A friend and I stopped there this past Thursday afternoon about 3. It was a gorgeous day so we sat on the patio where two other tables were already occupied. Both the male and female servers came out onto the patio to attend to the other guests several times, without so much as swinging by our table to take a drink order. After five minutes of sitting there I went into the bar to order two beers. Fast forward 20 minutes, we were looking for another round. Nobody home. So instead this time I got up from the table and I went inside and I just paid the check so we could leave. This took almost 5 minutes since the young man appeared not to know how to work the register and he was in deep chat with the other server.

I guess this was The Perfect Storm of not getting it done. I've never before had an experience like this here. Talk about feeling like a terrible inconvenience instead of a repeat customer.

I will take it on faith that this was just a one-off bad circumstance. I know from previous experiences that other servers there, like Amie, are attentive and on the ball. We picked the wrong day...

I can't believe it's taking me over a year to give yall a review. We moved out to Warrenton over a year ago and wanted to find a new dinner spot for us, and a friend of a friend recommended Cori's Twin Gables. Went there once, and have since go back at minimum once a week, sometimes twice. And honestly while the food is fantastic and I have enjoyed almost everything I've eaten here, I keep wanting to go back because of the environment. Between the friendly demeanor of the staff to the cozy vibes of the place, it feels like another home to me. I can't understand where the 1 star reviews come from, perhaps from impatient and ignorant people who come to Marthasville expecting downtown St. Louis vibes. Idiots.

First time there and went a little later but still got a table outside! They welcomed my girl Bella and even brought her a bowl of water! My friend and I ordered double cheese burgers with bacon and onion rings. The young lady who took our order was so sweet! And the burgers were awesome! However and I'm only saying this because stuff happens. When another young lady brought our food out the burgers didn't have any bacon on them.(which I don't think we were charged for) anyway the young lady made a remark that "we usually don't serve out here " we were at the only table available...down where the motorcycles parked. I thought she might have been having a bad day so I let her remark slide. I will definitely be back and we loved the live...
