Upon arrival I had to ring a doorbell to enter, only to be surprised by the bouncer kicking to over served patrons when the door was opened. We were pushed to the side by the bouncers without care or apology, we let it go as dealing with over served patrons can be difficult. However, when we were asked for our IDs it was in the rudest of fashions imaginable followed by a shake down for a "$10 cover charge" for who knows what reason as no fight, game or performance was taking place. While getting cash out bouncers where talking down to us and hurrying us up though only about 2 seconds had passed since they asked for cover charge and place was empty. Needless to say we just walked out to which we were met by comments from bouncers to not waste their time and rude comments about the group in general. I'm new to the community and definitely have never had this hostility or treatment anywhere else in Berkeley or Martinsburg bars, there are so many places to go with better service and more welcoming environment. Can't say much else as I didn't get a chance to experience the actual inside or food, but the experience was bad enough to not try it again, not even if its the last place available. Additionally, when we were leaving the over served patrons that got kicked out were fist fighting outside, the 2 girls in our group felt very unsafe and scared as the fighting were being rowdy and loud. Long story short, be careful of rude bouncers and potential dangers outside of the establishment.

I do not recommend it to anyone.

Answers to reply: John Doe because it is the internet, and the user name I use is my choice. I can be red beard if I want, and after seeing your response staying anonymous was probably the right choice as no ownership of fault for my bad experience was assumed.

I know they were overserved because as being kicked out the patrons were mentioning "not finishing their last beer" and because we were in the parking lot for about 15 minutes before we entered because one of our buddies got a call and we were waiting for him.

There is a doorbell, once you pass the first door (where the little window is before the second door) on the right-hand side next to the second door (which was locked) until we pressed the button and waited only to get pushed while the over-served patrons were kicked out as stated above. The bouncer's table was just passed the second door to the right.

It was this past Saturday and after 9, but not friendly. There could have been a DJ as music was playing, but it could have been a jukebox. I don't know as my experience as mentioned was bad a brief. however, when we asked "$10 for what?" the only answer was a cover charge (at least 3 members of the party asked) to a rude "OMG we said cover already". More patience and explanation are required for potential new visitors.

I wish I could have tried the food, it's probably great if you get to try it.

Dear Owner, I am not trying to sabotage your business. I am simply new to the community and would like to have a good experience in my new home and the palaces near it. I like your passion and how you defend your business, but I am not out to sabotage your business I would never do that. However, I will share my experience so that either things get better or so that others don't experience what my group experienced. I am an European (Germany), got there to have a few drinks and a meal. There was some kind of "riddle night or so". After my work I want to message everyone at home, so I was on my phone. After a while I heard something with "Europe" and was wondering what they were asking. This all was catching my interest so I asked the bartender if there is a kind of "list" or so. The (very kind) bartender said: yes, asked the guy on the microphone. I asked him and he answered: I saw you on the phone and we already started. Tried to explain him that I am just interested in the questions and don't really want to play. Still don't get a "question list". I think he just don't give me a paper because he do not like foreigners. I do not feel welcome at this location at all. So if you are not American, do not come here! Saturday is DJ night. Nobody is here for 90's R&B and Gangsta Rap lol. And their charging $10 to enter after 9pm. Theirs a great Football game on as I speak and the music is more important as are the bathroom cocaine trips. Prices are great but in a Sports themed Bar 35 year old wack is blasting and not a game. Very sad. I've been here 8 times now and it's every Friday and Saturday I've learned. People earlier in the day are more talkative. It's 5 star before 7pm. Can't relax enough here to order the food for dine in. I'm a local and don't drive to the establishment. I walk with no sidewalk and now after the DJ and no Football commentary.
