Worked here for 2 days recently, & they were all rude & judged me based on my appearance, & I adhered to the dress code but I mean because I have tattoos on my face & they knew that I had them beforehand but still made me feel very unwelcome & I wouldn't let my dog work here, they aren't good at training either, only worked for 2 days & they didn't even really train me whatsoever & then one employee told me that because I took the trash cans out one by one which there are only 2 big cans that they fill to capacity with trash then because I wanted to take each out one by one & did not feel it was necessary to put my well being at risk if these stacked up trash cans were to fall backwards onto me it would've hurt me, I'm a short guy & they said & I quote "damn you really don't know how to listen do you?" & I said nothing because I knew I was in the right & not wanting to possibly risk hurting myself by performing a task way safer than they wanted me to do it & they are ALL rude. Also didn't let me know of any work schedules & thought it was professional to text my phone & when I called to ask them questions about the job since this was a brand new job for me, & they ignored my calls. Just very unprofessional & really need to learn how to treat people & also need to learn how to properly train people. Do not understand how they have stayed in business, they place food in trash bags for people to pick up & the cook didn't change his gloves between touching the fish & other seafood & used the same gloves to handle the lettuce & tomatoes & cheese. Read moreI just moved to Martinsburg area a few months ago. I grew up eating all kinds of seafood in Chesapeake bay. I am always worried eating crabs and seafood far away from the bay because I feel like it gets a little sketchy.
That is not the case here. These people know how to size the crabs, cook the crabs and season them. I had oysters on the half shelf which were large and I watched the guy shuck them right in front of me. Fresh as it gets.
I also ordered a dozen large blue crabs and snow crab legs. I can't find a single complaint. Im very picky about seasoning type. A lot of northern Virginia places are trying to put there own spin on spicing a blue crab. You just can't. This place uses the authentic Maryland style blue crab seasoning. Thick chunks of salt flakes and all.
Perhaps the best part was the way the staff worked together and all were super knowledgeable of the business. We had Seth as our guy which took care of everything from drinks to orders. He was perfect. Not too much, not too little. Eddie and Oscar handled the cooking and shucking to perfection and with speed. Amanda seemed to lead the store and handle questions and customers of her own. Just a perfect symphony of business.
It can be hard to find a good seafood place to bring family to. This place will be a go to for us as long as our time in Martinsburg. A place I can trust. And in the crab industry trust is sometimes hard to find.

This place has been one of our favorite places to go for at least 10 years I'm guessing. I took my son to dinner tonight as it was his choice for his birthday dinner. I'll never go there again. I just commented on one of their Facebook posts because you can't post to their page, but I wanted everyone to hear about our experience tonight:
My family just left your establishment 7 minutes ago. We have been frequenting your business for YEARS. We were celebrating my son's birthday tonight. You are open until 8 pm. To any other restaurant in the United States that means that's when your last customer is served, not when you start throwing your customers out! At 8:00 you came to our table and said you needed us to finish up and leave. At 8:14 your kitchen staff started singing "happy birthday get out". We were out of there at 8:16, carrying some of our food in our hands. You didn't offer any to-go containers, nothing. Just get out. I spent $140 tonight. I am appalled at the treatment we just received. It's DISGUSTING you would treat any customer like this let alone one you know. I PROMISE you we will NEVER darken your doorstep again and everyone I know will hear about this....
