99 Hops House — Restaurant in Maryland Heights

So my sister had a birthday party we had a hotel room here at Hollywood casino hotel. We goes to get drink of course everyone don't have they ID so the ones who didn't have it decided to wait by the front entrance until me and one other guest get our drinks. We proceed to the bar to get drink. Of course the bartender walks pass up three times before I Decided to go to the other end of the bar to get her attention and served. Remind u it's only 3 people already sitting at the bar. When asked for ID I showed my physical id and my friend had id picture on the phone. My friend ask if the woman could take that as a proof of age and the woman clearly stated YES. Now I don't know if she don't know her RULES or LAWS or if she was NEW as a bartender but again she stated YES. She proceeded to make the drinks and before giving it to us she headed towards the back. Next thing you know a Man comes to the front and ask us for our ID AGAIN. Stated he was the MANAGER! Why when we just showed your worker our ID. OK no problem as we showed him our ID AGAIN he starts he couldn't take my friend ID because it was on her phone . Me being a bartender knows that u not supposed to take ID unless it's physically presented but the problem comes from the bartend woman who stated it was ok and she was fine with that the ID that was on the phone. So anyways after he decided it to take her ID she walks away to go to the group. I stayed at the bar and Stated I still wanted to buy me 2 shots. Well the "BAR MANAGER" TOLD ME NO BECAUSE HE NEEDED TO SEE EVERYONE ID. Remind y'all everyone is by the front entrance beside ME. I'm the only person at the Bar at this time. I get upset and ask him why can't I be served if I showed my ID. HE AGAIN STATED EVEYONE NEEDED TO AHOW THEY ID. FOR WHAT? NOONE DRINKING BUT ME. SECURITY IG GETS CALLED AND BEFORE IK IT MY FRIEND CAME TO GET ME AND WAS LIKE JUST COME ON THEY CALLED SECURITY BLAH BLAH BLAH. OH BY THE WAY THE DRINKS WAS SITTING RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME BUT HE DIDNT WANNA SEEVE. I FEEL LIKE HE WAS RUDE AND RACIST AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. 4/13/25 1pm. This place is a big money pit and a true joke!!!! It was empty, we stood for at least 10 minutes waiting to be seated while listening to the bartender with rhe attitude loudly unproffesionally popping her gum so loud we could hear it at the hostess stand!! There was a gentlemen in front of us and he was disgusted!! Said he been waiting for a manger for 30 min. We finally were seated and our waitress ALLISON wanted to know what we wanted to drink. She then completely forgot about us to go over to where the man was at the counter complaining to the manager that finally showed up so she could be nosey. We finally got our drink and waited for food, tenders and nachos. Robot came, waitress was cleaning table and was literrally going to pick our plates up with her dirty hands from the dirty rag? Are you kidding me?? Tenders were good nachos barely had cheese. ALLISON NEVER asked would we like a refill or anything. Again, place was empty! She brought bill we very early. We gave her player cards and then she came back and said we have a balance. Ok, we knew we would. We weren't even halfway done eating. So, we didn't give her a credit card yet. As I watched her she went to the hostess and told her to watch us cuz we still owed. I laughed and then finally said something! I told her she will get paid can we finish first!!! What turned out to be a special occasion turned out to be a run down environment from hotel, casino, and restaurant with the worst service that there could possible. She lost her 30% tip and I hope she loses her job eventually! We are adults and have no time for these entitled employees that have no idea what great customer service is! We are so disappointed in HOLLYWOOD and wouldnt be surprised in closings as other casinos have already done!! Please spare the blanket apology as professionalism starts at the top! We went to 99 Hops for dinner on January 18th and our service was absolutely horrible. Basically there was no service! We were sat down by the hostess around 8pm and we sat right by the door. We were there for about 30 minutes just waiting for someone to come and greet us and by that time my husband had already gone to the bar to order a drink because we haven’t even had a water. About 35 minutes in, the hostess came to us realizing nobody has come to us and took our order. Another 20-30 minutes later a male server that we suspected was actually our server dropped our food off without saying one word. After we had eaten, we were still waiting for a server to come greet or just give us the check and finally the server who dropped off our food came to us and said “you want the check?” Very rudely. And brought the check over to us. I went to the bar and asked for a manager and the manager lady who was wearing a red blazer had just walked in from outside and never came and talked to us. I have worked in the service industry before and I understand having a really busy night. But never coming to the table and taking an order is something that is unacceptable.
