Ari's Pizza — Restaurant in Maryland

So, unfortunately, I have to update my rating. I just went to get another zesty fried pickled pizza on my lunch break and was so utterly disappointed! This time, I got the 12" and paid $18 only to get a dried out pizza that looked like it was made days ago and reheated. The crust was rolled so thin on the edges, and it was like eating some dried out toast. The cheese was so dried out that you couldn't even tell there was any on it. I'm so sick of finding good food only to be continuously disappointed, especially paying that kind of money. Sorry Ari's yall have lost a customer, and I was really trying to give you more chances.

The first time I tried their food it was great! Maybe because I was really hungry, but overall, this place still has some really tasty food. We got seafood, veggie, and zesty fried pickle pizzas along with some BBQ wings. I don't eat wings, but my son said they were really good! The seafood pizza was our favorite, though with the hot crab dip and old bay sprinkled on top - it was a pleasant reminder of a seafood pizza we had on an island. While the zesty fried pickled pizza my second time ordered was not as good as the first, I did not complain because it was still a really good pie and I give places three tries before completely scratching it off my list. We have ordered food from here for years. Have always been very satisfied. However the food has definitely declined in quality. The last couple times we have been disappointed in the food. We always order the 20” pizzas because we always wanted to have leftovers. Last time we ordered taco pizza it was dry with no meat sauce. Mostly lettuce and tomato. They gave us one small packet of taco sauce and no sour cream. We chucked it up to we just got a bad pizza. Sometimes that happens. Today we had a family gathering and ordered three 20” pizzas and cheese breadsticks. The pepperoni and meat lovers were dry and over baked. The worst was the seafood. It used to be wonderful with a saucy crab sauce and tender shrimp. Today it was crust with dry melted cheese and a few tough shrimp. It was awful and we had to explain to everyone that the pizza we had described to them and raved about how delicious it was…was not what was on our table. Probably our last time. It’s sad. Have ordered a couple of times a year from Ari's and the shrimp pizza and Buffalo tenders are our favorite. We would order more often but its on the pricey side for the portions you get. And sides all cost at least 1.50 extra. Ordered today for delivery and when it was finally delivered everything was cold. The shrimp pizza which used to be really saucy with crab dip was more like a dried out cracker. We got a medium and its smaller than other places small size. The shrimp were cold and what little other toppings were on there were dried out and cold. The chicken tenders were wet inside and out and have really declined in quality. Not real chicken but sort of a spongey wet ground up chicken. Also got loaded fries with cheese bacon and onions. They were cold too and portion size is small for the price.I was really disappointed because we were craving what used to be so good and worth the expensive price tag ($56 plus a 20% tip). Probably will not order again even though it used to be one of our gotos for a weekend treat at home...
