Came here because The Missus (bless 'er) and I just can't pass up the chance to have BBQ whenever we can. And, boy, am I glad we stopped here! Ordered the half rack with two sides- mac n' cheese and collard greens. The ribs were absolutely first-rate, maybe the best I've had outside of Tennessee. The flavors of meat, smoke and sauce were perfectly, repeat, perfectly balanced and the ribs themselves were still pink and moist. The mac was an explosion of cheesey goo and pasta ("think you used enough cheese there, Butch?"). Not my usual thing, but it worked. My collards were on the money, not overcooked but still tender and flavored with bits of pork. The Missus (bless 'er) had sliced pit beef and beef brisket. I don't honestly remember what sides she had, as I was deeply occupied with my ribs! Two free bowls of very flavorful beef noodle soup started us off. One note: There was a very generous amount of black pepper in the soup, which could have been a disaster, but the dish was so flavorful that the pepper complimented it instead. Counter staff were pleasant and courteous. The space was an eclectic mix of nickknacks, which often can be very tacky, but, again, the blend of elements worked well enough to interest instead of annoy. I was put-off by the sight of the kitchen's microwave oven a little too close to the front counter, and would suggest maybe moving 'Chef Mike' somewhere that the guests don't see him at work... All in all, a way above average BBQ experience, and can't wait to go back to...

BonFire was great. We drove from Laurel, MD to come to this place based on the reviews and it did not disappoint. The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. They say everything is homemade and they make you feel at home. We started off with our free bowl of soup which was rich and hearty and mmmm-delicious. We ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs and 4 old bay JUMBO wings with mac and cheese and green beans. I also ordered the brisket sandwich with fried onions and hand cut French fries. Everything was great. We enjoyed the juicy and tender melt in your mouth brisket, the fall off the bone smoked ribs and the amazingly seasoned and fried chicken wings. the mac and cheese was really good and the green beans had a hint of sweetness to them. The fried were perfectly cooked and hand cut. Everything came out hot and tasty. We will be coming back and bringing our Family and Friends. We even met the owner who was super nice and genuine and gave us some of his own special entree he made personally. I will be using them for catering for my job for sure and stopping here on the way home when we have a hankering for some...

I used to eat there regularly. I don't know what happened but here recently they don't have food ready, they don't have meats cooked at different levels of rare, medium rare, etc... When you ask the girls to check the back they cop an attitude, roll their eyes and act like they are doing me a favor filling my order and taking my money. Today I went in and as soon as I walked in the door I was told they didn't have any pit beef cooked to the level I like. I used to spend between $150-200 a month on sandwiches there but I am done wasting my time going out of my way to not get food there and when I do I have to put up with the attitude of the girls behind the counter. If a customer who spends that money at your establishment monthly wants meat cooked a specific way, and you don't do it, then you clearly don't want my money and if they don't want it, I won't give it to them. I can go to Chaps and get what I want and the food is better. It is a longer trip but i get what I want, it is cheaper, and the food is better. Bonfire made up my mind for me. The owner is oblivious and let's the inmates there...

This is my second visit to Bonfire Outdoor Charcoal Grill, and just like the first time, the experience was wonderfully welcoming. The cashier was exceptionally nice and friendly. During my first visit, the owner handled most of the cooking. I ordered the pit beef plate with mac and cheese and collard greens as my sides. The pit beef was decent; it was cooked on the grill and drizzled with some juice. However, the sides were not as hot as I would have liked. As a pleasant surprise, we were also given some complimentary chicken noodle soup, although it was a bit too peppery for my taste. On my second visit, I opted for the sandwich and fries, along with the chicken noodle soup once again. I mentioned to the cashier that the soup had been too peppery last time. This time, she omitted the pepper, and the soup was absolutely delicious. It made for a great dining experience!

Stopped in for a sandwhich to go, a good few people ahead of me and some sitting at the tables eating so looks like they do a decent buisness. Food came out in a decent time, fountain soda was crisp. Thought the bag was pretty heavy for just a sandwhich, didn't open it until I got to my next call about 40 minutes later. Thought the pit beef was piled high, nice and tender. Even though my sandwhich sat in the container for that long my bottom bun was not soggy at all and the protein was still moist. Excellent bread choice. I couldn't taste any smoke on the meat personally but for the portion size and bread choice I'd eat it again, this time hot. Small dining area. A little sketchy making a left back onto Washington Blvd since the spot is right past the apex of a hill. Definitely will eat here again if I'm working in the area.
