Hey do y’all remember the chicken spot called Cluck U? I do, there use to be one Uptown on Georgia avenue. Well, this brand never went anywhere…they just changed their name, & made everything halal!! Let’s GO!! . Where I am: @clucksters_lanham . Location Reviewed: 9426 Lanham Severn Rd, Lanham M.D. . Items Reviewed: The food I reviewed was all Halal! DELICIOUS!! Their Boneless Wings ($6.99 5 boneless lathered in their Atomic sauce). Not super hot or spicy, more saucy. Could’ve been fried harder for me.

STAMP!! Their Bone In Wings ($7.99 5 wings with their Atomic sauce). Not super hot or spicy, but well fried, & meaty!!

LIKE THAT!! Their Tenders ($4.99 Three chicken tenders). Well seasoned, crisp, & tasty with their special sauce!!

LIKE THAT!! Their Ranchero Wrap ($8.99 with chicken strips, lettuce, tomato, & their signature sauce). Lite, crispy, & fulfilling!!

STAMP!! Their Fried Mushrooms ($6.99 a small with their signature sauces). A tasty batter, no dip needed!!

DELICIOUS!! Their Pulled Chicken Sandwich ($8.29 with bbq sauce, & slaw I added a drink & fries for $4.29 extra). Good, thick, I would’ve preferred it w/o the slaw.

DELICIOUS!! Their Fish & Chips ($8.59 fried whiting with fries). Good, that’s it.

LIKE THAT!! Their Rodeo Burger ($7.99 with pickles, onion rings, tomato, American cheese , bbq sauce, & lettuce). Smoky, with a nice grade of beef!!

STAMP!! Their Churro ($2 with caramel sauce). Warm, sweet, & tasty!! . Parking: Decent.

Recommendations: Get what I STAMPED…try the burger.

A Hidden Gem Near Diyanet Center of America

While traveling from Boston, my family and I were looking for a good place to eat and that’s when we stumbled upon Cluckster’s. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy. It’s a modern, fast-casual spot that not only serves delicious halal food, but also delivers a level of hospitality that truly touched our hearts.

The owner greeted us like old friends, making us feel right at home. My wife has a few food allergies, and he went the extra mile bringing out the chefs and walking us through every ingredient with such care and attention. That alone would have been enough, but then he surprised us with a free appetizer and dessert, just out of kindness.

You could genuinely feel his passion and positivity in every corner of the restaurant. It’s clear that this isn’t just a business, it’s a labor of love.

Everything we tried was amazing, but the fried mushrooms stole the show. None of us had ever tried them before, and we were honestly blown away. So flavorful, so unique, it’s a must-try!

Located just 5 minutes from the Diyanet Center of America, Cluckster’s is tucked in a convenient shopping plaza with plenty of parking.

I have loved Cluck U since 1999 when my high school friends would go to the old Hyattsville location. Their bone-in wings sparked my lifetime obsession with chicken wings. Since 2001, I have lived all over the US and world. And I have yet to experience a better wing. Sad that they are mostly gone from the DC area.

Fortunately, Clucksters in Lanham carries on the original recipe. The chicken is high quality and features wings and drummettes that are as big as you can find. Here they happen to be halal too. They are lightly breaded and cooked to juicy perfection. The traditional buffalo sauce is my go-to because nothing I’ve found comes close to the unique tangy flavor that really is their trademark. It’s like a cross between BBQ sauce and a traditional buffalo….Finally, I’m a blue cheese guy, and though I think they’ve changed their recipe, their blue cheese is still robust enough to hold up to the strong sauce.

Restaurant is clean and service was friendly and quick. I’d recommend stronger napkins, though. I’ll be back often now that I moved back to DC.
