Ok, this is a challenge, but I'm going to try my best. My family is from Texas, mom and dad. I'm the only grandchild out of 50 born outside of Texas (Jacksonville, NC on Camp LeJune). I grew up eating AMAZING BBQ! I have found countless restaurants advertising "Texas style" BBQ, and rarely do they even come close........until I got to Supreme. Sat, in preparation for my mom's 87 birthday, I came to Supreme to get a full slab and, for the first time EVER, my tray was short. I've always had great experiences at Supreme and was reluctant to return and state that I felt that I had been shorted a couple of bones. Well, fortunately, the owner, Rafael, happened to be there, and he straightened it out expeditiously as he had a new hire serving up. Not only did he add bones, he gave more than I have received ANYWHERE! So much so that I could barely close the tray! He didn't stop there. He took me on a quick tour of the kitchen area, the smokers they used, and explained the process. He showed me pictures of his beloved mentor, Leon (the original owner) and told me of how he traveled to Galveston/Houston, Texas as an understudy for weeks, learning the true love, passion, dedication and commitment it takes to make real, genuine Texas BBQ. I explained to him that my mom was a die-hard Famous Dave's BBQ lover, and, surprisingly, he showed me pics from the 2019 BBQ competition where Supreme finished ahead of Famous Dave's! Listen, BBQ can be so hit and miss. Depending on how early, how late, lunchtime, or dinnertime rush, there are so many variables, but one thing that should never be shortchanged is BBQ. It's gotta be low and slow, seasoned well, smoke ring, not rushed, not too dry, generously portioned. This is where Supreme excels. They take the time to do it right. In all fairness, they don't have lines wrapped around the building so they can give the proper attention where it needs to be.....on those amazing grilled meats! Well, my mom got two party platters from Famous Dave's.......and it was one of the biggest disappointments ever. It was NOTHING like the last event that we had. The rib tips were hard and dry, almost like jerky, The chicken was meh, underseasoned, and there was no hint of smoke. The ribs, please, they were laughable, with only a small charred grill line to even indicate that they had ever even touched smoke, dry and boney. While the beans were delicious, the Mac and cheese, for some reason, had corn in it. Luckily, I had my mommy's back, and when I pulled out the tray of ribs from Supreme and put it next to the ribs from Famous Dave's, there was no comparison at all. Supreme saved the Queen (at least her dinner)!!!!! Let me say this; if I go to a BBQ joint, I go for the BBQ. Period. Sides are great, but they are simply accessories. People don't go to Ruth's Chris and talk about how great the salad and baked potatoes are. At this point, I've tried almost every meat they have, but my go-to is almost always going to be those amazing ribs. In all fairness, I suggest taking out or dining in. I don't do a door dash or grub hub because time affects quality. I tried it once, and it wasn't quite the same experience. So, pick up or take out is certainly recommended. Side note; for the very first time, I tried the Aunteaboba mango slush with brown sugar boba, and I planned to take it home and split it with my daughter......it never made it. Flavor that can not be described and, on a 100° July day just outside of Washington DC, it was a Godsend of refreshment, and I can't wait to get back. Rafael, thank you for your kindness. Your story needs to be told because you, sir,...

Read moreUsed to be my favorite spot until the inconsistency started. When placing your order have them read back your order TWICE and then WATCH as the items are bagged!!!
I've had 2 separate orders delivered to my home that didn't include everything that was paid for and 3 orders placed inside the store ( one of which I corrected before leaving) but this last visit will unfortunately be my last as the greens weren't seasoned with anything other than water, the potato salad was a runny relish concoction and they neglected to include the half chicken I ordered DESPITE the fact that the order was read back to me by the hostess.
I made the mistake of trusting that, because she read verbatim what I ordered, the order bagged was correct. When I arrived home, I immediately called , only to be hung up on 3 TIMES before being passed on the a young man who wasn't on duty when my order was placed, so he very politely tried figure out what went wrong.
If just the order was wrong, I could continue to cope as I'd been doing but for the recipes to be irregular too???? I'd be facing the fact that IF my order is correct and all items paid for are present, it might be...
