Colonial Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Maryland

We are visiting from out of town for my FIL funeral. We decided to give Colonial a try because the reviews seemed promising. Boy, we were so wrong. We ordered directly on their website for delivery. It came through Uber Eats, this poor man shows up with our food, and his son had it in his lap the whole time. Our three soups went absolutely everywhere! The lids were half on!! I don’t blame the driver at all. We ordered the soup specifically for my MIL because we haven’t been able to get her to eat much of anything. I call the restaurant, took about three times of calling, finally got someone, and with an attitude she says, “Yeah, I packed that order myself and everything was just fine.” I asked if there was anyway to get a credit at least for the soups. With a huff and puff she goes to grab, who I presume to be the manager. They try to pin it on the Uber driver and say we can just come ourselves to replace a soup. I asked if there is anyway to just credit the soup and she said she will see what she can do. Such a shame to encounter this experience in an already tough situation. Especially after...

As a regular patron of The Colonial, I am disappointed to have to leave this type of review. My fiancé and I were going meet some friends for wings. We arrived 1st and grabbed a table. We were served drinks and told our server, Jeremy that we were waiting for 2 more people to arrive. When our friends arrived, Jeremy greeted them, but never came to take their drink order. They had to go to the bar to order it themselves. We ordered our food but once we got it, we were basically forgotten about. Our drinks were never refilled , we were never asked if we needed anything. All this despite the fact that Jeremy walked by our table SEVERAL times to wait on and chat with the table beside us. It was obvious that they were friends of his and it felt like we didn't exist. We will be avoiding patronizing The Colonial when Jeremy is on duty. He is a very friendly guy, but he needs to remember that he is there...

We have been long time customers of both the bar & restaurant & now we mostly order takeout on nights that the kids have sporting events or just busy nights. We’re a family of 5 so it can be expensive to eat out but the prices are extremely reasonable but without sacrificing quality. The cost for us is comparable to most fast food options or even less expensive but of course, IS WAY BETTER!! The owner is absolutely incredible, very helpful & if you do ever have an issue, he takes it seriously. cares about his customers & the employees are all SUPER friendly!!
