We got crabs from there last week. They were huge, full… And MUSHY! After picking them up, my husband even called me during the drive back home to tell me how heavy and big they were, and we were both so excited. They were beautifully seasoned, and I could not believe our luck as we dug into the first huge fat crabs. Only to discover that they were incredibly mushy, Every. Single. One. Taking them back was not an option at that point as we live over an hour away round-trip. And at $129 for the dozen, we were not going to let them go to waste either. Of course the mushy texture took a great deal away from our enjoyment of the crabs - as these were incredibly mushy. The innards were pretty much liquefied. The shells were soft - they bent but would not crack. They were very hard to pick. So afterward, I called, I wasn’t expecting much really, I have spent my life in the restaurant business and I wanted to let them know, but I also know that it is common practice for many establishments to give a discount for the next purchase when something like this happens. So I called and a man answered the phone, I told him about the crabs and he was so nice, he was very apologetic he said he took full responsibility and that they had been having that problem all night. He offered me a full refund and I was IMPRESSED. I was not expecting that, but certainly happy about it. He put me on hold as he said the refund will take about five minutes to process. Once I was put on hold, a lady picked up the phone. She asked if she could help me. I explained to her what was happening. She asked when would we be bringing the crabs back. I was a little dumbfounded. I told her we’d already eaten them. She said well I apologize but there’s nothing we can do for you if you have already eaten the crabs. I said well we live over an hour away so we certainly weren't going to bring them back. We actually did not eat three of the crabs but I didn’t mention that. So I went from being offered a full refund to absolutely nothing. I did not ask for a refund, the man who answered the phone and offered me the refund and I was pretty excited about it, and to have it “taken away” left me feeling actually worse than I felt when I first called. I don’t think it was handled properly or professionally and I really don’t understand the concept of making a customer drive an hour round-trip to return a product that you put out that was unacceptable. We will try this place again, only because of the size and heft of the crabs, but my husband already knows to check one out in the parking lot before he even leaves...

The sand, the trees, the plants - all have been brought in to create the right ambiance. And it works. Right off the road, next to a gas station at an intersection, you'll miss it if you aren't paying attention. You eat outdoors or take out. You place your order at a window and they call your name when the order is ready. The don't have very many drinks to offer so you walk over to the gas station next door - literally 20 steps - and pickup beer, soda etc. from there.

We ordered oysters, crab cakes, crab balls, crab fries, cream of crab soup, and Maryland crab soup. I would order everything again except the crab fries - just not a fan of the cheese they put on it. The food is expensive! The portions are just adequate for the meal (as in, don't expect to take leftovers home). The crab is really really fresh and tasty so the prices make sense. The prices and the quality are just not what you expect in a road-side restaurant. But while I was standing there waiting to order, a few regulars came and ordered food - which tells me there are locals who like the food and are willing to pay the somewhat steep prices. I would go here again if I lived anywhere close by. It's was just by chance that we happened to stop here. Chances are that we won't stop here again (because we likely already ate in Ocean City - we have a few favorite crab places there). But if you are anywhere close to this place or passing by hungry, definitely don't think twice about giving them a try. You wont be...

Still trying to figure out this eating . They got to be kidding me . I would to know the health score of this restaurant.

First of all no rest room on the inside , it’s outside around the side of the building and it’s down right filthy . The place is small and way over staff for the size of the building . Let me tell you how small , an employee was cutting up prepping raw fish , with in arm length of another employee taking orders and money. If I remember correctly the employee taking the order reach in the cooler and pull out out the crabs legs and gave them to another empty to weigh. On the other side employee are preparing meals on both side of the counter . Reaching over the employee still cutting up raw fish . Order Hot and spicy crabs , received Crabs cold, with no spice , and butter so cold it solidly before sitting down at the the table , no fork was given for the cold slaw , order old bay fries , received fries with no seasoning . Brought this to the attention of the lady passing out the order , you would though I curse her out .. the look she gave me . Really I just paid you $104 for 2 meals ( cold meals) . Just Nasty attitude!!!!Should gave just requested my money back. Being Fathers day and not wanting to cause a scene. I held my tongue. Would I visit patronize here again …lol absolutely, written in stone , not . I must say the locals must be faithful, , you can tell there was a few . Maybe it’s just me .....

I like Crabs To Go for a variety of reasons. They have all kinds of seafood besides crabs and shrimp: scallops, mussels, oysters that can be purchased raw to take and cook or cooked on site to eat in their outside eating area or to take out. They also offer prepared items they will cook for you, or you can take to cook, like: crab cakes, seafood stuffed hard boiled eggs(already cooked/ prepared), shrimp salad, etc., In addition to condiments (Kelchners Cocktail Sauce and Horse Radish, and their own Hot Sauce(photo)), they also sell proper tools like: crab knives, knockers, etc. Some of their prices seem high, but also very reasonable and competitive. I got a pound of the Medium Shrimp Steamed, which was cheaper than my go-to places in OC. Great flavor, spicy but not salty!, served with cocktail sauce, I'm guessing they make, because it was spicier than normal cocktail sauce but not overpowered with horseradish. Definitely check this place out, especially off-peak (Spring-b4 Memorial Day, Fall- after Labor Day) when places in OC are only open Thursday-Sunday. I think Crabs-To-Go is open year round (off-season), but double check for yourself. [Great place, more like 4.5 stars, just not sure if perfect-5-star]

This my first time actually purchasing (21 Jun 2022) fresh (2 lbs) shrimps and 12 little neck clams from this store. And for some reason, the shrimps and little neck clams all went bad within two days which should not even be the case. Especially, since they were keep cold from the store to my home and place in the refrigerator upon arrival. After cleaning the shrimp and little neck clams. I added my favorite seasonings, place them in foil and started cooking them on my gas grill. When the shrimps were done cooking (2-3 minutes) I took a look at my little neck clams around the 8 minutes mark. None of them would open which is strange, because they were all closed during the process of rinsing them under cold water for cleaning. Now mind you, I have purchased 12 little neck clams and six of them were open and would not close when you squeeze them together. The shrimp had a funny taste to them. As if they weren't fresh at all. I think these shrimps were previously frozen, because they started to foam up while rising them under cold water. And the little neck clams were just a bad batch. Anyway, I spent $48.00 for 2 lbs of shrimps and 12 little neck clams which I wouldn't be doing again.
