Firehouse Subs Lexington Park — Restaurant in Maryland

I’m giving this Fire House Subs a 2 today. The experience today was concerning. My husband placed his order around 11:55 AM and received his food around 12:15 PM. Now, we are not opposed to waiting for food but when you see other people come in, place their orders and get it before us, that’s concerning. They were not Uber Eats or DoorDash, just regular customers like my husband, coming in and ordering for themselves. It wasn’t until my husband stood up did it seem the employees remembered he was waiting on his food and they proceeded to make it. The most concerning that part is that for large sandwich combo with a large drink and chips cost almost 18 dollars. I did the math by placing a online order to see where taxes and such would fall to equal almost 18 dollars. A online order of the SAME exact thing my husband ordered in store rang up to $14.56. Fire House employees did not give my husband a receipt to see what he was charged for. That’s so concerning. Please, employees of this location, make sure you are at least offering the receipt and anyone who orders from here, make sure they are not...

Not a very good experience with my online order tonight. Placed my order at 9:00PM, when I went to pick up, there was no one at the counter. A young man came out & said "I'll be with you in a sec", I told him I was there to pick up an online order. "Oh it should be on the shelf" - it wasn't so I went back to the counter & a young woman came out & said "What's up?" - said I was here for pickup. "Oh, what's your name?" - "Oh, we're out of chili". Since I had already paid for it, they offered another sub, chips or a cookie. (No soup either) I said no, my husband just wanted to try the chili. "Well you can come back tomorrow & get it" :/ I said Ok. Get home, no pickles, my sub had lots of mayo despite requesting 'light mayo' (it was good besides that), my husband was not happy with his meatball sub. *Update - Drove to pick-up the missing chili I had paId for from the previous evening - No 'I'm sorry', no compensation for the inconvenience (like maybe a bowl instead of a cup?)- got a cup of chili with a small bag of oyster crackers - husband said it was good. It better have been for all...

I love to take Firehouse Subs, and most times, it is great, but today it was mid at best. First, only two people were working on a Friday night and everyone's orders took a long time. Secondly, one of the people working seemed like they didn't want to be there and their level of customer service was horrid. My wife's large sub only had two pieces of onion on it and when my wife commented about it, this person was rude about it and was more interested in locking the door than offering the onion that should have been on the sandwich. Lastly, the bathrooms were unkempt and the drink machine had several things out.

We normally enjoy the experience but tonight made me question if the owners know or care about how customers are treated. I'm hoping that ownership cares and will make changes. It wasn't enjoyable for a place we used to enjoy. I hope it gets better. My recommendation would be to not wait too late in the day to...
