Swords and Spoons — Local services in Lexington Park

"Swords and Spoons", when you walk in to the store it seems like the gates of heaven open up to you as everything a Tabletop Gamer could ever want seems to be within reach..... I was dumbfounded by the shock of amazement, I think I could have died.

And thats where it ended. When I walked through the entire store front with my wife, and a father with his two kids. You would think we must be spirits. I think we walked through the entire stock, even up to the glass counter (The fathers kids were interested in the Trading Cards)... and no one said a word. The two workers behind the desk must have rolled a natural 1 on perception because I swear I didn't even see their eyes move in my direction. If I were a rogue class, that would have been a easy +1d6 sneak attack damage.

Anyways, I think when I left the store I must have been resurrected because when I went to Taco Bell they noticed my hunger. Gotta love Taco Bell.

Anyways 5/5 Store if your local, but being out of town, I will never see the great side...

A significant reinvention of the previous tenant at this location, High Tide Games. The vibe is amazing. It's cleaner, brighter, and overall a much cheerier place.

The murals on the walls as well as the dragon head mounted above an LCD crackling fireplace? A secret passage behind a bookcase? Chef's kiss.

I am excited about this new direction for the property and applaud the owners for not just keeping the status quo but making an immediate and marked improvement.

Make sure to ask for Shawn when you're visiting. He's the heart and soul of Swords and Spoons, and he's also one of the most knowledgeable guys you'll ever meet when it comes to role playing games, TCGs, mini painting, comics, and the other delightfully nerdy hobbies...
