Foody Pizza & Grill - Temple Hill — Restaurant in Maryland

I have been here several times and each time have been happy with the food. Tried many different items on the menu and they all were tasty. My main reason for writing this review isn’t for the food though, it’s about my last experience at the restaurant. I stopped there with my daughter this past weekend. It was literally 100 degrees that day and after we ordered a man walked through the door about to pass out from heat exhaustion. He was clearly down on his luck. The lady who worked their acknowledged the gentlemen when he walked in and ask was he ok. He responded yes he was ok but wanted to get out of the heat for a few minutes and was it ok if sat down for a few minutes. She responded yes and gave him ice water. She then asked if he was hungry and the man said yes but he didn’t have any money right now. She told him that she would buy him a pizza and not to worry about paying her back. As I sat and ate while watching their interaction, it filled my heart with joy watching the compassion being shown to a complete stranger. First time going there, I must say their customer service actually treat people like they are supposed to be treated.

The fresh ingredients really made the pizza a delectable treat. The waffle fries were NOT fresh.

Tenders were fresh. Highly recommend getting a second container of sauce because of the size of the tenders.

The biscuits really close to Popeyes's biscuits.

All in all good experience, typical wait time, very clean inside and outside.

If I'm in the area again. I will definitely try them again.

This location is now under new management as of Jan1st 2024. The service is slow, the tables are left dirty and the floor is sticky! Prior management would have never let this happen.

All I ordered was a cheesesteak combo to test out the service. Over 30 min wait. If you are hungry, call first then come in. This experience leaves a blackeye on the chain.

I called this place to order food for 4 people. When the guy answered the phone; he asked me to hold. About 5 minutes later; he came on the phone and said, “May I help you?” I stated again I would like to place an order and before I said another word; he said, “I need to put you on hold.” I told him I had already been on hold. He said, “I have a customer.” I told him that I’ve been on hold for five minutes and I want to place my order. He said, “I don’t care if you have been on hold for 5 minutes; I have a customer.” I told him I was a customer too. I then hung up the phone. I understand you’re busy & probably let staff go due to Covid, but don’t let it affect your customer service to customers. If you are hungry & want great service bypass this restaurant & don’t order over the phone. You will be ignored. Go to Eddie Leonard’s because they have great customer service.
