Honestly didn't know about this place until we heard a rave review from some neighbors, so placed an online order for side dishes to go with our dinner. Prices aren't cheap ($6 for each okra and hush puppies, $8 for large fries) but not crazy either. This location is ONLY accessible via one driveway on/ off Crain highway, so don't take the shopping area entrance like we did as you are going to be doing a u-turn. We pulled in and were amused to find everyone waiting in their cars for their food....until I walk inside and find out why - this place is BASIC barebones. 2-3 rando chairs and no tables, a bunch of signs on everything saying NO RESTROOMS, and 2 sole workers (one at the fryer, one at the register) behind a tall plastic plexiglass barrier. Not obviously dirty for the 30 seconds we were inside, but not exactly giving clean vibes either. Clearly, this is a place they don't want anyone staying. Happily our food was already packaged and waiting when we got there, and we were out in seconds. Almost everything here is fried (thank the gods they don't post calories with their menu ha ha), and they did a nice job of packaging everything in cardboard boats, inside a paper bag with some paper wrap, which was all inside a plastic bag. No napkins or salt or pepper or ketchup or utensils. The portions were reasonable, and the okra and hush puppies were very tasty. The fries were a little soggy/ limp, and while our friends mentioned a "special seasoning" on the fries, we didn't notice anything. Overall, they have a nice menu of some unique items that really aren't available anywhere else, so likely we will be back when the occasion...

Food is fine for what it is, nothing special about it. It's fried, and it's greasy.

What gets the two stars is the lackadaisical attitude towards public health on display. If there's going to be a sign on the door stating "Masks Required For Service," then I'd expect that customers entering with masks around their necks or improperly worn (noses out) be asked to correct the issue or leave. That certainly didn't happen during the 15-20 minutes we waited for our order to come up. More importantly, I'd expect that the employees would be properly wearing masks, but instead, I witnessed a cook wearing his mask around his chin the entire time we were there, and the cashier constantly touching his mask and fiddling with it so that it barely covered his nose (he had to constantly keep adjusting it because it would fall down), yet not sanitizing his hands before touching customers' credit cards or the pen he'd hand to a customer for signing the receipt.

Oh, maybe I read the sign wrong. I interpreted the sign as meaning masks must be worn, and clearly you just have to HAVE a mask, not wear it. Mine could have been in my pocket! I had it with me, after all.

If they are so blatantly ignorant of county and state emergency orders to slow the spread of a pandemic, I can only wonder if they bother to wash their hands after using the restroom, or even what the state of the restrooms...

First let me start by saying, eating here got me extremely sick. Even as I was looking around paying for my food maybe 2 hours after they opened the entire kitchen was just dirty. Food, breading, flour everywhere. Baskets of cooked fries and fish just sitting over the oil waiting to be refried. And the two gentlemen who helped me were rude and seemed very nonchalant to be working there. I’ve worked in fast food for a few years and I know there’s usually a bit of cleaning that needs to be done overnight and in between rushes. Especially for an open eye view kitchen like this location. But the way it looked I wouldn’t be surprised if the dishes were dirty from the night before. I ordered chicken, fish & gizzards. The fries in each box was hard and dried out. The fish was extremely soggy (usually they’re crispy which I love) and the chicken I bit into was raw.. you can’t serve pink chicken. The picture does no justice but I’ve been vomiting from food poisoning for 2 days from eating at this location. And it’s on me I should’ve ran when I saw how dirty the kitchen was. Hope they can reach out to me and refund the $30+ I...

I got the tilapia value meal. It's a 1pc with french fries & I added a side of Cole slaw. Their Cole slaw is some of the best but let's get to the fish which is probably why you're looking at it. This was fried well, very little breading & it just pulled apart beautifully. It was perfectly fried, not overly cooked at all which a lot of ppl can do very easily. Their french fries are decent but that's not why ppl go here. I wish they were more of a double cooked fry instead of the type they have but they're decent, just could be a bit better is all. Their tarter sauce while prepackaged is actually quite tasty. This place is always good & it's fairly always busy which I prefer because you know you're getting hot food then, plus if so many others are there then you're probably in a good spot for food. I moved back to Glen Burnie about 4yrs ago & this was one of the first places I was told to check out. I couldn't be happier that I did & I'll continue checking out this place. I wish they had some more side dishes that were fresh as this is a bit of a heavily fried place but other than that, that's my only snippet of a complaint.
