Service 10/10, guy on the phones and taking the orders is killing it. Good work.
The chef however was either having a bad night or something else entirely. Chinese relies on the holy trinity (scallions, ginger, garlic) I tasted none of this in our food. I saw some of it but I tasted none of it.
Fifty dollars of egg rolls, general tso chicken, beef and broccoli, mongolian beef, chicken lo mein, and fried rice. The highlight of which was the coke it came with, which I used to wash down some white castle burgers from the freezer that I opted to eat instead of the food me and the Mrs. were hoping to enjoy for Friday night dinner/date night.
Not bashing the place, but I'm not satisfied either. I'd have been better off going to the grocery next door and just getting ingredients to make my own dinner.
All chefs and restaurants have good and bad days, I know that (spent alot of time when I was younger working in some really good and bad kitchens) but I'm not convinced this was someone having an off night...
Read moreI disagree with the average rating. A group of us locals go there weekly. The service is always good, the food selection is outstanding. They don't have a liquor license. I recommend the buffet. Try the salt&pepper shrimp, king crab legs and many delicacies that you won't get at a standard buffet restaurant. It's not ritzy and not large, but it is clean, the service is generally excellent. It seats about fifty. The buffet represents a great value for what they offer. For the price, about $7.50 for all you can eat, with ice cream and other desserts, you can't beat it in the Odenton area. I spoke with the owner who said she had been in business for about ten years. We haven't had a bad meal there and there is always something new to try. Highly recommended if you want a good meal in a clean establishment with a variety of choices. and don't want to...
Read moreFirst time. Went in right around 3pm. Ordered my favorite Chinese dish (Hunan shrimp) from the lunch menu. Took typical 10-15 minutes. If you like seeing your food prepared this isn’t the place for you. Shrimp and broccoli and baby corn perfectly cooked. Sauce very good. The container had mostly pork fried rice beneath the perfectly cooked food. Ugggh. What ever happened to fresh fried rice with veggies and egg? Looking over the menu this pork fried rice is offered all over the place. I usually prefer fried rice but not this stuff. I’m not against eating pork but whatever this is they’re serving I don’t ever want it again! Bottom line, the food is good but they need to serve REAL fried rice and leave the pork at home. I would have been very satisfied with that same amount of steamed rice. If you go, pay attention when ordering and stay away from the...
