UPDATE: We went back during a more crowded evening and can confirm that the owners have placed noise reducing ceiling fixtures. The restaurant is still louder than most, but is on par with how it was with the previous owners. Also, the service was much better and although the menu was still under construction there were plenty of options. As with our previous visit, the food was very good.

Original Review:
I hate starting a review with something bad, but itâs important that you know this is by far the loudest restaurant Iâve ever been to. The facility had always been loud, but previous operators were wise enough to hang things on the walls and ceilings to make it bearable. My entire family left with a headache. Hopefully the owners will respond to this review when itâs fixed, but either way please read other reviews in hopes of an update.
I would like to stress that the food was indeed very good. The âLoaded Friesâ were great and I enjoyed my cheese steak. My wife got a crab and chicken sandwich loved it. My youngest enjoyed her pulled pork as well. My oldest called the buttered pasta âdisgustingâ, but letâs chalk that up to her being 11. Iâm not sure itâs even possible to screw up that dish. I truly donât think the food will disappoint you.
So what was wrong besides the noise? Honestly - everything other than the food. We tried stopping in on their first Saturday evening but were told the kitchen was out of food and closed. Iâm sorry, but I find it hard to believe they were completely out of food and couldnât run to the grocery store.
The next day, some friends stopped in at 6pm and the kitchen was closed AGAIN. Now theyâll make the âit was opening weekend and was busier than we imaginedâ excuse, but you go to the grocery store way before that happens twice.
We were told they would have a full menu after Easter so we stopped in the following Thursday and were greeted with a limited menu. And we waited about 10 minutes for them to brew tea because they were out of it.
After that, our fries were delivered - to a table that hadnât even met the waitress. Eventually our my daughtersâ food came out and was also delivered to the wrong table. Then came my wifeâs food. Yup - again, to the wrong table.
They got mine right, but you can only imagine itâs because I made it pretty clear where it was it be delivered.
And about that pasta... My daughter who doesnât like hot food sent it back the first time because it was cold. So they actually did get it wrong the first time.
We will give them another chance in a couple of months or so. If things improve Iâll update this review. But it certainly wonât be for a while because they have a lot of issues to work through first. And it will have to be when they arenât busy because...
Read moreExcited to see a new restaurant in Jarrettsville. Had high hopes. Went for dinner with my wife and daughter and we were a bit underwhelmed.
The good: hostess and waitress were both polite and attentive. Table was clean and comfortable. Manager came around and asked how everything was. Iâm uncomfortable being critical while Iâm eating. A suggestion card with the bill would be a better approach. Serving sizes were good. On a great note, they do have duckpin and an Independent ipa on tap! Maybe next time.
The bad/area in need of improvement: as others have indicated the noise level was so loud we couldnât hear ourselves talk at our own table. Perhaps the back dining room will be better.
Seemed to take longer than it should have to bring out our food. It was busy, but not that busy. 25-30 min.
The menu is very limited for dinner. There were only three or four entree choices and no pasta or beef. You better like chicken! Plenty of sandwiches but not what I wanted for dinner. (Good choices for appetizer and sandwiches)
My wife ordered the chicken caprese. I saw her put salt on her dish, which she never does, but it was very bland. That helped a bit.
My daughter ordered the Closed on Sundayâs chicken sandwich and enjoyed it. She said the chips werenât that good though. They were like homemade chips that were over done.
I ordered the chicken wings for starters and the cheese steak sandwich. The wings were large and tasty but needed to be cooked a little longer since they were so big. The cheese steak was great! The French fries though, which were extra$, were terrible. They were over cooked or made in old oil. Yuk.
I thought the price was just a little high for the food. $12.50 for a cheese steak and fries. Plus a glass of unsweetened ice tea and for $2.75.
Seems like a place I might want to grab a beer while watching a game with friends but less likely to make it a dinner spot with family, unless some changes.
Suggestions: Provide a bench near hostess stand for elderly to sit while waiting. Change up menu. I like a small menu but have choices that include a beef and pasta as well as chicken and crab. And perhaps a chefs salad. Do something about the noise level. Perhaps a wall or glass panel that separates the bar area from tables. With a good sandwich list, add a few optional sides in addition to your chips, fries, onion rings - like, Mac n cheese, side salad, potato salad, sweet potato fries, mash potatoes, etc.
I really want to see this local business do well and with a few tweaks I think it will! Iâll stop back again in a few weeks to see if any improvements were made and will update this review...
Read moreWe have enjoyed the food and service here on many occasions and the chef Joey makes sure it's always a 5-star experience, BUT last night was so on point I had to write a review. First off, we were a party of five and they were already busy at 6:30 on a Thursday, but we were seated very quickly. Our server Kaity came and introduced herself very quickly and took our drink order. Kaity was smiling and very friendly, she was very attentive throughout and explained the specials and offered great food suggestions. Kaity clearly knows the menu and the food's preparation. We all shared 4 apps to start, the fried green tomatoes with lump crab will be the best you'll ever eat anywhere. The bruschetta, artichoke dip and the everything cheese bread were all presented perfectly and tasted outstanding. For my main meal I had the ravioli, which was very delicious and cooked perfectly. The shrimp salad wrap and tuna poke both got 2 thumbs up and a primo pizza was sampled by all and impressed everyone. The fried green tomatoes made us demand to see the chef so we can tell him in person that we've never had better and he does an excellent job with the entire menu. Although Chef Joey was very busy, he came to our table to hear us out. He listened to us and was friendly and courteous and was happy that we enjoyed ourselves. This started as a restaurant review but has turned into a server and Chef's review, kudo's to the manager. We'll...
