Time to get your act together.. Had been many years since I bought anything from this establishment. Was in the area and called before hand. Wanted to order two meat and two potato knishes. Man who I spoke to said that had plenty of each. Got to store within a half hour. Went to front counter and ordered same. Man looks at display case and says they are out of meat but had plenty of potato knishes. Said I just called a little while ago and man who answered phone said they had a lot of meat knishes. Counter person went to back of store and then came back and said they indeed had plenty of meat ones in back (so- you morons had a display case in the front with other varieties but no one in front knew or cared to check if what I wanted was in the back until I asked them to check?). While I was speaking, another worker said he was the person I spoke to. GREAT SERVICE.
Finally- as I was checking out, asked to person who prepared the order to mark the containers- he put P on two, M on other two.
Got home and noticed containers were marked incorrectly- let me tell you this can be a big concern if someone does or cannot eat a particular item or has a food allergy..
The only redeeming factor were that the knishes were quite good.

Read moreThis review is about the Knish Shop catering service. I just came home from a very large gathering catered by the Knish Shop catering service at the Beth T'filoh Congregation. This wasn't a siit down dinner. It was a huge group of people gathering for heavy hors d'oeuvres, speeches, and a concert.
There were so many people that the Knish Shop Catering Service had to set up their own kitchen in a tent large enough to house a small circus out in the parking lot.
The hors d'oeuvres were amazing. There were food styles from around the world, and they never ran out of anything.. This was way better than a sit down dinner.
The food looked and tasted great. My particular favorites were the little kosher hot dogs in a pastry blanket and the breaded lamb chops. The servers were friendly and efficient.
If I had any grandchildren or great grandchildren in the Baltimore area, I would definitely recommend the Knish Shop Catering Service for their b'nai mitzvot...
Read moreThis place has been a fixture in the baltimore jewish community for over 60 years. It is the classic baltimore kosher take out. They have been quietly crushing the catering game in town also, easy ordering for when you jeed to get that kosher office lunch. This is a spot for some solid take out/sandwichs, people rave about their tuna. They rock dips hard and have a large variety of salads and sides. The sushi guy Jimmy has been around un the local kosher scene for almost 2 decades and makes great sushi, my personal order is a new york roll (where he fries smoked salmon skin and it tastes like bacon) but instead of smoked salmon with the skin i opt for reg salmons, they source beautiful fish for their sushi and i also usually get a tuna nigiri. Say hi to mosi cuz he...
