EDIT: GOING FROM 5 STARS TO 2 EDIT 2: WHEN I REVIEWED THIS PLACE IT WAS ANGELINA'S, OBVIOUSLY THAT DIDN'T WORK OUT (AS EVIDENCED IN MY REVIEW), STILL NOT INTERESTED......
Is this place under new ownership or something? Used to love this place. I hadn't been in a few months and was craving the cobb salad and the kids wanted pizza. My wife decided to get a pasta dish, and HUGE bonus as there is a sign that clearly states 'All Pasta Dishes Come With A Side Salad'. Also, Tuesday is buy one pasta dish get another 1/2 off (we opted for one pasta dish). We also ordered calamari.
Well, the pizza was good, always was, even in the crust was a bit doughy (slightly undercooked). The cobb salad? I'm pretty sure that none of the grease was drained off of the cobb salad, it was EXTREMELY greasy. I used less than half of the dressing that I was given, but it was really not good at all. Weird to complain about it, but there were very little greens. It turned my stomach a little. The calamari was absolutely terrible; very, VERY dry, like it was from yesterday (was it?). Microwave calamari, and microwaved badly at that.
My wife said that her pasta was good (shrimp scampi), but noted that they didn't bring her salad. I went to the counter and asked about getting the salad. The girl at the front said "Did you ask for the salad?'. Um, read your own sign. She told me that if you don't ask for the salad when you order the pasta you don't get it. Maybe, just MAYBE, write THAT on your sign. Or just don't mention it, save the salad for yourselves. I wanted to take a picture of the sign to post here, but just leaving was more appealing.
Overall, went from great to dismal. Angelina's has a captive audience due to their location, so they're safe. Not only all of that, there seemed to be a war between the music that the employees wanted to hear. Along with the house music, there was very loud Latino music playing, and some other undiscernible music playing. We just laughed like 'what happened to this place?'. It was chaotic sounding. Hahaha!
Definitely won't ever be going back. The 2 stars are for the nostalgic memories that I had when...
Read moreI frequently order from this restaurant- dine-in, take-out, door dash- and the overall experience has been consistently great, with delicious food and fast service. My go-to order is the classic spaghetti with meatballs. The portion size is generous, and the meatballs are juicy and flavorful. The pasta is perfectly cooked and the sauce has just the right balance of tanginess and richness. It's a comfort food that never disappoints.
One thing that surprised me about this restaurant is their penne vodka. It's not a common dish to find, so it's a real treat to have it on the menu. The penne is cooked al dente and coated in a creamy, slightly spicy vodka sauce. It's a unique and satisfying option if you're looking for something different from the usual pasta choices.
Recently, I tried their pizza and it was absolutely delicious. I opted for the toppings of onions, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, and bell peppers. The crust was thin and crispy, topped with a generous amount of gooey cheese and perfectly cooked toppings. The flavors all blended together harmoniously, making each bite a delight.
What I appreciate the most about this restaurant is their quick service. They are efficient in processing orders, ensuring that the food arrives hot and fresh. It's wonderful to have a reliable spot where I can always count on getting my meal in a prompt manner.
Overall, this restaurant is a gem. From their mouthwatering spaghetti with meatballs to their surprising penne vodka and delicious pizza, they offer a variety of satisfying options. Coupled with their speedy service, it's no wonder that I frequently return to this...
Read moreHave ordered carryout from here two times, and decided to dine in today. Our carryout orders were pizzas and garlic knots, tried the white pizza, cheese and pepperoni all were really good. White pizza was the reason, we ordered again. Meatballs are yummy too, ordered as a side. Also as a grinder. On our in restaurant trip we had 5 adults and a 2 year old, we were sat at a large table at front that could handle a party of 10. Very comfortable chairs. Party ordered appetizers, garlic knots, shrimp gondola and side of meatballs. The shrimp Gondola was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Mains, two ordered meat. Sauce spaghetti, meat calzone and large pizza half cheese half meatball. Okay the spaghetti was a great portion and devoured, calzone was bigger than your face packed with cheese and meat, the pizza another home run, I mean they slice their meatballs right onto the pizza. We were so full but decided to do dessert we all sampled from the selection, all were really good I had the spumoni bomba, so pretty I should have taken a picture. Profiteroles with chocolate filling frozen melt in your mouth covered in cream and whipped cream, simple ice creams all were beautifully presented and scrumptious. Will be back!!!! Restaurant also has booths and tables, bunch of TVs, bathroom was clean and staff friendly...
