I will start with the good. I pulled into the drive thru, and there was one car in front of me. However, the wait was very short. The young gentleman took my order and was very professional. He advised me to pull forward, and this is when everything went left. I get to the window and he is attempting to hand me my drinks and take my coupon and in the background there is a young women seeming to be a lead or a manager who was loudly fussing at him about messing up the orders. He stated twice to her very nicely that it was not him. She continued to fuss and then proceeded to the window to ask me what I ordered. I advised her twice that I ordered two 10-piece nuggets and a large fry. She smacks her teeth and points for me to go to one of the pick-up spots. I do just that. At that moment I realized there were 3 other cars waiting for their food. I wait about 5 minutes, then I walk into the restaurant where it is even more chaotic as people are waiting for their orders at the counter. The lady who was fussing earlier directed another worker to take the food to pick up spot three. I advised them that that was me and was given my food. I get to the car only to receive the wrong order yet again. I go back in to explain that I was again given the wrong order, and in that moment, I was handed a bag with two 10-piece nuggets in it but no fries. At this point, I was over it and just left. If you are going to lead or manage a group of individuals, especially in fast food, please communicate professionally and respectfully as fussing only creates further confusion. Read moreI'm never one to complain, especially when it comes down places I choose to eat at. But this McDonald's is literally the slowest fast food restaurant I ever go to. Because I have a young child who enjoys their cheeseburgers on ocassion, I have to go to this McDonald's since it's so close to my house. And every single time it takes at least 15-20 minutes to get through the drive thru, no matter how many people are in front of me. Overall, the staff you have to interact with at the windows are friendly, but you can tell the management team is not capable of running a well oiled machine of a fast food place. I could get through the chick fil a drive thru 5 times before someone would get through this McDonald's one. Since I don't want to complain without presenting a solution, I'll give a few suggestions. Hire a team of managers, front line supervisors or team leads who have experience leading others, holding them accountable and most importantly experience in the restaurant industry. The speed of service has to be an area of focus and then the quality of food and service and accuracy with the orders. I get that it might not be everyone's dream job or place they want to work at forever, but no-one is forcing you to come to work and at the end of the day your in the business of customer service and that should always be the top priority. I do not understand why in this area the fast food restaurant staff are so incompetent and refuse to go out of there way to make anything right. I went there this evening to mainly get a milkshake, of course the milk shake machine was down (it always is down here). I then ask for two large fries and a 20 piece nugget. I had a coupon on my phone and was using the drive-thru code through the mobile app to apply that coupon and pay. For some reason, (not their fault) the coupon did not apply and I was charged full price. I inform the worker that my coupon code did not go through and she says, you must’ve used points. No, ma’am, I showed her the coupon and she still wanted to argue about the points. I do not use points, I have over 20k points, I wanted the coupon and a refund for the fries.
