Attended on Saturday June 17,2017 @8pm. I only put one star to be able to do the review. I made reservations for 8pm. for a party of 14,when we arrived @8pm, we stood by the main entrance moving back and forth so that the wait staff could get through and others entering could get in for about 20 minutes until finally I asked a waiter what was going on with our seats in which we had a reservation for. He said"Hold on let me go check!" So when he came back about 5 minutes later he took us back to our tables which were still getting cleaned off only to wait about 10 more minutes for them to be finished. After we were seated we were told by two waiters that they would be waiting on us together, well we had to ask for menus and then we waited approx. 10-15 more minutes to have our drinks ordered while our drinks were being ordered we also decided to put out appetizer orders in. Oh and let me state that another party came in after us and were served first and immediately as soon as they sat. After our drinks arrived our MAIN waiter left us and the "OTHER" waiter came back to take our orders about 5 minutes later ONLY FOR HIM TO START TAKING SOME OF THEM AND LEFT US ABRUPTLY AND NEVERRRR CAME BACK but I did see him limping around to serve other tables(he told the other table that he sprung his ankle yesterday). So we waited and finally our orders were placed approaching 9pm or a little after. Our appetizers started to come out in bits and pieces @ 9:15pm and were completely served to us by 9:30. The waiter thought it to be best by bringing us 2 pitchers of beverages out to sit on the table( My guess is so that he wouldn't have to run as much to refill drinks) and what might have been considered fine if everyone at the table drank WATER and SPRITE which was not the case and needless to say our drinks weren't refilled at all. Our main dishes started trickling out at approximately 9:45pm. and were completely served to us by 10pm. I ordered the stuff salmon which was not as good as I've had before from here my salmon was a bit overcooked, my sister's imperial had a million shells to spit out, and her "LOADED" baked potato was so cold that the cheese underneath of the melted top layer was still shredded(she was able to switch it out for mashed potatoes). When the bills came at 10:30 and after the waiter knew that there were a lot of discrepancies the gratuity was added and we weren't compensated for ANYTHING. We asked to speak to the manager and told him all that's above, and he in return said "Were you late?", Was all of your party here?" "Well I'm not taking the gratuity off I can give you some desserts!" And of course I said "No I want to be monetarily compensated in some way..." and he still was opposed to that, so I finally stood up and said "Well if you don't take the gratuity off I'm not paying anything", so he called security over then told me that he would take my appetizer off of the bill to compromise. This was absolutely a night from hell from the beginning to the end and they have lost...
Read moreI will start by saying that I found this place by accident when driving back from DC to Philly about 4-5 years ago. Stopped and had a GREAT meal with GREAT drinks. Have made it a regular part of my routine when returning from DC which I like to visit on the weekends relatively frequently. Have come here on dates, happy hours, Mother Day, etc. many times now in that timeframe. Needless to say, I was greatly disappointed by some customer service that was lacking after my last visit in the first week of April '25. Basically, it was the last night I was in Aberdeen for work so I drove 20 mins down the road to Mo's. Had actually planned to go there because I knew I would be nearby. Had a great dinner and drinks, got my check, paid and got my receipt, which I needed for reimbursement by my job. Got back home and was inputting them and realized I got the charge receipt but not the meal receipt. The next day, I called the restaurant and got someone. I explained to him what my situation was and he went right to helping me. He put me on hold and came back a couple of times, checking a couple of charges he found , but were not the right ones. It was taking a minute but I figured it would and was being patient. The next thing I know, while I'm holding on while he's looking, the line disconnects. I called right back and no one answered. I waited a couple of days and called again; again no one answered. I did this once more the next day with the same outcome. This tells me they not only have caller ID, but that they also flagged my number because they hung up on me because they didn't want to help me find the info. Mind you this was not the only restaurant that I had to contact, but it's the only one I had this problem with. Everyone else took my info and got back to me. It's disappointing that one of my favorite places to spend my money would choose to treat me this way. They need to do...
Read moreMy wife and I came for an early dinner on a Wednesday evening, we have driven by many times and decided to try. We were told to sit anywhere, luckily we sat in the front because if we would have sat anywhere else we probably wouldn’t have been noticed. They charge $2.50 for “fresh brewed sweet tea” even though it tasted like it was powdered tea and you don’t get any refills. We told the waitress that we needed a few moments to look over menu, we waited for another 10-15 minutes while the waitress ignored us and put all of her attention to other co-workers lounging at the front bar like they were the only ones in the restaurant. The Oyster PO boy was delicious and my wife got the fried seafood combo which was also delicious and more than enough for leftovers. We asked for condiments and a couple boxes for all the extra food and it took over 10 minutes to receive what we asked for. When it came time to pay our bill we noticed that they automatically added an 18% gratuity, which I had never heard of for a party of only TWO people. Asked if they did a military discount and was told they didn’t. My wife asked the waitress why there was an 18% gratuity automatically added and her response was “it’s just policy” giggling like a joke was just told. Finally after payment was run on the card the receipt asked if we wanted to add an additional tip and my wife’s response in the tip section was “already charged”. The only place where I have seen the wait staff wearing athletic booty shorts. The food was delicious but the service was not good enough to recommend to friends or family. If you want great seafood with a great atmosphere I highly recommend Cantlers in Annapolis or Mikes in Pasadena...
