I've been a loyal client and regular patron of Panera for nearly 20 years. I have enjoyed the food and ease of service. However, the service has been declining for years. The leadership in the company has sacrificed their previously, consistent high standards for quality of food, service and atmosphere. I was eating with one of my lead service technicians this evening, discussing his goals and prosperous future with the company. A patron nearby instigated a verbal altercation with another patron. We tolerated it for about a full minute--a long time to listen to someone berate another person and threaten them harm. The management did nothing to quell the argument. I approached the guy doing ALL the yelling and asked him to keep it down, that there are others here trying to enjoy themselves. He became belligerent with me as well. I persisted in insisting that he lower his voice or leave, that we could not hear ourselves talk. He began cursing at me now, saying "I don't give a sh*t". The management was still not involved. Kariem finally came over and failed to get the man to be quiet. We listened impatiently for another 2 minutes while the yelling continued. I approached both of them and asked the manager to control this situation or get the man to leave. He began chasing me away, blaming me for causing the problem. I raised my voice to a strong level and asked if there was any other management in the building that could resolve this. I was irritated and disappointed in the failed management at this location. We took our food and left. We hold meetings at Panera about 3 times a week, buying food and drink to discuss business--undisturbed by the steady work and noise of our call center. We will not be returning to Panera again. The standards for operational efficiency, the disregard for the customers' experiences and decline in the quality of the food have all come to an end for us. Read moreThis location does NOT answer their phones. Out of the maybe 6 times at LEAST that I've had to call them, they've picked up ONCE and acted like I was a weirdo for calling them. If you place a pickup order through your computer or tablet, you HAVE to call them from your phone in order for them to bring it to you curbside when you get there, and it's very frustrating when they don't answer their phones and I waste time while on my lunch break having to walk inside anyway. Then, an employee gave me attitude when I described my issue to them, telling me I had to press the button on the page I ordered from to say I was here, then I had to explain I didn't order from the same device I had with me when picking up, therefore I couldn't do so which isn't totally unusual and he completely brushed me off. Regardless of the issue at hand, they need to answer their phones!! On top of that, the MAJORITY of the time I place a pickup order for a certain amount of time in the future on the same day, when I receive it the food is ICE COLD and when I order a grilled cheese sandwich which I get a lot, it's clear that it was never even melted all the way through when it was cooked, I can still see the intact slice of cheese (gross). Other times, it was cooked so long all the cheese melted out of the sides of the sandwich horribly and was STILL cold by the time I got it. They really need to get their sh*t together. Me & My husband could not understand a word she was saying, she was talking so low which was on purpose. That's a control tactic, she had the most horriblest weave please somebody look this up I would like management to look at the camera from that day. Her hair was so long, that weave was a HUGE knotted mess for her to be standing with the bagels and bread so close behind her hair was absolutely unprofessional and nasty. Why wasn't her hair brushed or pulled up or in some kind of hairnet she knew she wasn't supposed to be in there like that and did it anyway. I have never been to this location this was the first time for us we will never come back again. she was and mumbling and was just so thrilled to be there when we said hi she never said anything back never told us where to get the food never told me what the total was I'm swiping our cards she's not telling me anything finally we realized where to go get the food at and as I'm standing there I see a young lady who's sweeping the floor!! YEPPP!! sweeping the floor as sandwiches are being made & they are all back there playing , that dirt was flying all over the food?? Just unreal.
