We have eaten here a couple of times before, and gotten carry out a couple of times. The food was good most of the times but the last encounter we had with them the carryout order we received was not only incorrect and therefore over priced, but the food was sub par. I called back to let them know and had both the person who answered the phone and the supposed manager on duty argue with me about what I had ordered. After explaining that I expected to be compensated for the money I spent she said she would take care of us the next time we placed an order.
Fast forward to a week or so later we decided to give it another try. When I called in and was given the manager, they wanted us to pay for the food again (and give us free French fries that were left out of the last order) When I explained that the missing side item was not my only issue last time, the food was burnt etc, she said there wasn't anything else she could do for me.
I told her to cancel the order and I would make sure to tell everyone I knew not to patronize this business. She then HUNG UP on me.
I may try to call back another time to speak to a GM or an owner, but I am highly disappointed at the level of customer service this person showed. I am not trying to get over on anyone, but I expect that if I do not get what I paid for, that I will be compensated with a replacement. Is that too much to ask?
Don't go here, or if you do I don't recommend carry out, as they apparently take no care in ensuring the orders are complete...
Read moreI hadn't been back since my first experience, but we were looking for an easy, quick breakfast yesterday, and I suggested Reisterstown Diner.
Again, the service was great. The meal was adequately priced, and the fries were ahh-mazing. I tasted a few, and they were enough to share with you.
My nephew, five years older now, didn't recall our last meal there. He enjoyed his expansive pancakes meal. I enjoyed my meal as well.
What this place has to offer is a "Pops Diner" vibe, straight off the set of "American Graffiti." You feel as though you're back in time.
I did NOT have the grits this time. I steered clear. I did give it one more star because whatever I may have felt previously, it seems the residents in this town love this particular diner enough to ensure it remained afloat throughout the pandemic. It's not going anywhere soon, so go get you some!
Below was my first response 5 years ago; however, I realize I was comparing it to NY, and, ya can't.
It was too expensive for the mediocrity of the cuisine experience.
☆☆☆☆☆☆Great Service☆☆☆☆ That's the number of stars for them.
I came with a little child for breakfast. I paid $35 w tip. Flapjacks, sausage, coco, coffee, veggie omelet, hash, and grits (those grits are SO HORRIBLE. They should be used for a facial scrub ONLY)
The service, though, was worth the weight in gold, and if I'm being served, I make sure the server gets an amazing tip. That's why they're working. Tip your people...
Read moreWent there for a quick breakfast today. My boyfriend and I live near by so we saw some good reviews and thought we would give it a try. At first everything seemed okay, food is fair for the price. We ordered a Belgium waffle with fresh strawberries to split at the end after our breakfast and there was a hair on the strawberry. When I notified our waitress about it she just brushed it off as if it was normal, said "oh no... Would you like another one?". No one came out and apologized or said anything. I simply asked her to remove it from our check. Luckily for them we aren't the types to make a big scene. The waitress acted as if it was our fault there was hair in our food... It was rude and disappointing. I've worked in the restaurant business before and when something like that happened our manager would come and personally apologize, offer a dessert on the house or a discount off the check. We completely lost our appetites after seeing it and didn't really finish our remaining dish. Will never return. Tip for everyone, check your food prior to eating,...
