Over all I would definitely go back. Just please order ahead if it’s the weekend because it’s easy to be standing in there for WAY too long for a simple order since they get backed up… at that point it seems like the staff gets really bad attitudes. Which is not at all ok. Definitely need to work on that!! I wanted to give a 0-1 stars for the attitude but then when I got home and opened the food realized they blessed the order with tons of extras for the wait although they did not apologize for the inconvenience I’m person at all lol. Still not ok.

This place is like a blend or a hybrid of Mexican food prepared in somewhat of a Black-American and kind of popular American-no spice. You will have to dress it up with sauce or hot sauce since it is not spicy at all. For the most part you can tell the main clientele Black American but they leave the spice out so it can appeal to a larger audience which is fine because they provide sauce on the side without asking they give 3 or each the spicy and the non-spicy dairy based sauces they make in house. The steak burrito was pretty good. I had them take out the bell peppers and add tomatoes. The shrimp tacos are made with a soft flour tortilla (instead of corn tortilla which makes since for shrimp) a blend of mild cheddar and lots of tomatoes etc. That shrimp taco was hitting. Not gonna lie. They are easy to just keep eating! This is by far the worst Sylvester’s location in the area. On August 18 around 8 PM, we placed an order and my friend picked it up, I then discovered the order was completely wrong. We tried calling back before closing, but no one answered the phone. On Thursday, August 21, I went back to this location to hopefully be accommodated for their mistake and to at least receive decent customer service. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Even though I provided details such as the card used, order number, and pickup time, I was told by Christian, the supervisor, that without a physical receipt, I could not be accomodated even if it was their fault I received the wrong order. My meal was only $10 and the lack of customer service display how they truly feel about their customers-It’s the principal.This response was extremely disappointing, especially since the mistake was on their end and not mine. I’ve been a loyal customer of Sylvester’s for almost 15 years, and I now go to the Indian Highway or Saint Barnabas Road locations where the food and service are consistently better. This location, however, failed in both areas. The fajita we ordered was poorly prepared—the peppers were were hard and some were soggy , and the only redeeming part was the shrimp, which was seasoned properly. Overall, this experience showed both poor food quality and a complete lack of customer care. I cannot recommend this location, and I am very disappointed with how the situation...

So this was my first time here, I found it here on Google maps. It had very good reviews so I figured I'd give it a try. The place on initial entrance was modern, clean & large. ( Plenty of seating) the parking lot is kind of small but I got a spot in front of the door very easy. So I placed my order and began to wait... And wait. Then I realized 2 people that came after me came and ordered here and not their food very fast while I'm still waiting on my number to be called. So I approached the counter and ask how much longer. The guy ask one of the ladies preparing the food and the she started on it. When he brought my ticket back to me I asked if the simply forgot about my order and he ignored my question so I asked again and still only replied she's making it now. So with no apology or nothing as a little bonus I took my food and got in my car. I tried everything in my car and the spicy cabbage & chicken was quite good I must say and the steak fries were just average but hot. I appreciate good customer service and I did not get that here.
