Rice House Bistro — Restaurant in Maryland

Rice House Bistro has got to be the best experience in Asian food I have ever had.....except Chinatown, NYC. Keep in mind the following as it pertains to my review: During COVID times, I ordered "to-go". Only one order (ever) - General Chicken.

The female employee knew the first names of the two customers before me. This pleasant women has worked here for 19 years......the restaurant here for 31 years!......crazy.

Three cooks working full blast......and while the restaurant is open for sit down, the work is all take out.

The pricing is expensive. They do take credit cards.

Best General Chicken (aka General Tao's) I have ever had. The pieces are NOT the size you normally have, nor is the coated batter like any other (good way).

The chicken pieces will be 3-4 times bigger than you would normally expect. There is a batter around the meat but is NOT a hard deep fried texture. Nope! It is a softer texture with this unique tasting sauce I kept wanting more of.

The Coliflower is steamed and added fresh with no sause on the vegetable into a unique take-out cardboard low profile box. Again unique.

The very large pieces of chicken combined with the softer batter with there own homemade sause was so good.

Can't wait to return to try other dishes and suspect, I will NOT be...

I recently visited Rice House Bistro in West Ocean City Maryland and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the owner, Mr. B and his staff who were all extremely professional and welcoming. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus.

One thing that really stood out to me was the use of fresh ingredients and the lack of MSG in the dishes. The flavors were all so authentic and original, it was clear that a lot of thought and care went into the creation of each recipe.

My wife and I are big foodies and we love trying new places, but we have to say, Rice House Bistro has quickly become one of our favorites. We have yet to find anything on the menu that we don't absolutely love.

In short, if you're in the West Ocean City area and looking for a delicious, authentic meal made with fresh ingredients and served by a friendly and professional staff, look no further than Rice House Bistro. Five stars...

As with the reviews of the other two people I posted in the pics, this food was horribly tasteless. I called them to tell them and she said flatly,” that’s what you ordered”. She didn’t offer to exchange for something else or a sorry. Please people check out the reviews of these restaurants before going and of you have 3 or more reviews saying the same thing in the negative side, listen because the ones that give it a 3 or higher stars probably have no good taste buds or like their food tasteless and that is no offense to them but I know good food, horrible food and everything in between along with great customer service or not and this place had poor customer service and horrible food. Now people you have to understand, bad food and not liking something because of personal preference is two different things and this food again was HORRIBLE.
