Tom's Sports Tavern — Restaurant in Maryland

I met a few old friends from high school at this location. The enviorenment was clean and friendly. Unfortunately the service was less than to be desired. There was ONE bartender servicing the entire establishment on a relatively busy Sunday evening. Although I could tell that the bartender was overwhelmed by how much business the bar was receiving when I inquired about my receipt reflecting a total purchase of $59.88 for mine and my friends drinks to the bartender Dana she informed me that she did not appreciate the way that I was talking to her. All I was trying to understand was what exactly I was paying for during my visit. The music from the juxbox was quite loud. I did not appreciate her informing me that the way that I was speaking to her was inappropriate. I am a consumer and I was spending quite a bit of money on drinks at the establishment. If she had a problem with the way that I was speaking to her, this could've been addressed after I had completed my purchase. This was my first time visiting this bar and I was unaware of their apparent policy of only reflecting a total amount of the purchases and not an itemized receipt upon closing out my tab. I will never ever in my life return to this establishment and the bartender Dana could use a little more training to make customers feel comfortable after spending a money on both the jukebox and drinks only to be treated the way that I was upon inquiring about what exactly I was paying for upon receiving my receipt. I was not made to feel comfortable. I will not return to this place and Dana in my opinion has a lot to learn about Customer Service because she just lost Toms sports bar a customer for life. I hope someone sees this review as there is a posted sign on the door requesting that we review the establishment on Google. Beware of this place I’ve been a patron of this place for years, until I recently observed some practices that are not just. On several occasions I’ve witnessed the bartenders go to the back of the bar into the store with empty bottles . They’ll then return with an almost filled bottle that has not clearly been freshly opened . They’ll also come from the store area with your cup already filled , which will give you the idea they are giving you your desired drinks. On one occasions I approached one of the bartenders letting her know I seen what was going on. If you are already intoxicated of course you won’t know what’s giving to you. I’ve witness the owners in the front blow torching a bottle to reseal it. This is such a dangerous game because people drink what they drink for a reason. Which is why it’s so many deadly accidents from leaving this establishment.I think it’s sad that the owners as well as the workers are preying on a community by serving fake liquor and or giving a undesired liquor choice. The board most definitely needs to be contacted and have this place investigated. This place is owned and operated by foreigners who can careless what they’re doing to the black community. First off, as “Hakeem” said, their prices are NUTS. All while less than a half mile down the road, Plaza Liquors behind papa johns have hands down the best prices on Liberty Rd besides Discount Liquors. They also greet and greet back when spoken to!! Second, the interaction is the typical “superior Indian over inferior negro” experience every time. Really reminiscent of the Chinese corner store owners in the city back in the day, that kind of vibe.. They don’t speak or acknowledge you at all. The white boy is actually the coolest one there and will help you with anything. The worst of them is that big nosed girl, you have to repeat things 100 times and she acts like she can’t talk back when you ask her something and she takes forever to even acknowledge you at the register waiting to pay. I literally ONLY come here when I absolutely have to. I hate giving them my money, and not just mine sometimes. As far as drinks and ESPECIALLY food, this place is subpar at best and shouldn’t be the go-to on...
